Just finished Liza Minnelli's autobiography.
A solid 4*
No idea why I got it as she's not really been on my radar.
Maybe I was influenced to read it.
The more I got into it the more it grabbed me. She seems to have been really honest in putting her life story straight to correct what other people have said about her life.
Quite often I realised I had tears pouring down my face when I was reading.
Then I got to the bit about the 2022 academy awards when they ripped her dignity away from her. She really disliked Lady Gaga after that.
It’s helpful to offset some of the darker online material. Sometimes we need a reminder that people can be good that said, some of the stories are devastating. I’ve lost nights going down rabbit holes.

I’ve just remembered, I totally should have had Misery by Stephen King in my top ten!! I still remember the massively loud gasp I did during the most infamous scene when reading it on a very crowded bus about 17 years ago.
At first I thought it was a bit boring and it could have been a DNF.
But I persevered and realised it was actually settling the scene just before main character loses the plot.
I'm now spluttering with shock
