i could absolutely do a bottom ten of books i’ve absolutely LOATHED for various reasons. i sometimes find writing about books i hate more entertaining than writing about the ones i love

I have recommended this series on here before @pinkmug and if you are looking for other cosy murder mystery series would also recommend the following:I've seen this series recommended elsewhere too, I'll definitely put it on my to-read list now.
I know some people loathe the term "cosy murder/mystery"but I love a good low-stress whodunit with a tit ton of aristocrats who have barely adjusted to electricity. It's my comfort zone, be it a book or TV series.

The 4 books in the Henry Fleming Investigates series by Jay Gill.
The Lord Edgington Investigates series by Benedict Brown.
Ooh interesting to see other people not loving Swept Away. I’m just finishing it now, I started it as I wanted something comforting by someone I knew I liked their books and it’s not been great.

I'd quickly cut out anyone who dared to try and tell me I have enough books. There is no such thing as enough books.

Well, I wouldn't do that. Because I might get blood on the books if I try cutting them with the books they don't want me to buy. Books don't deserve that. My friend who was also a bookaholic was surprised I read a book and then kept it.
I could never understand how she only had the one bookcase.
She advised me to only keep the books that were 5* screamers. So I had to read the whole lot, as I was frightened there might be a silent screamer in there. It took me 2 years of solid reading and I got rid of loads.
Over the years I have slipped back into my old ways, but it's been easier this time round reducing them, as I knew immediately I picked up a book if I loved it. So I don't have as many to read this time round.
I can see space opening up for new purchases.

Yes! This! I have recently moved and I have a lovely corner I can perfectly picture a nice set of extra shelves to go into. Meaning I'd have to buy more books just to fill them.Might I suggest you just don't have enough bookshelves?
@StephenTJackson thought I would tell you that I have got a lot more British Library Crime Classics since I last posted about them on here.
Proud of you! You've only got to get to 150 to have all the books released in the series so far!
So far I have currently got 63 books and I did have more previously but I unhauled the ones that I didn't like.
Impressive number.
Unhaul them my way, I'm working on completing my collection and I still need to get a lot.
We’re all doing awesome - we just have lots of hobbies
Tbh I plan to read only British Library Crime Classics in July so I will have to read some and see what ones I like and don't like. Sadly I can't unhaul them your way
Also, because I have got so many of them it's hard to say which one I am looking forward to reading the most @StephenTJackson.
