I bought the Phillipa Gregory on the daily deal cos the wait list on that at the library is crazy but otherwise I've not got anything because so much of it is Xmassy and I don't really do Christmas reads

Coming out of lurkerdom to ask what the trick is here? I cancelled last month and it says I’m not eligible for the deal. I like having an audiobook in the go for commutes, and my libby holds are taking ages.

I just tried every day and then one day it worked!

You know what an innocent little flower I am .......well, I seem to have caused a bit of a stir in the Royal thread about that book I mentioned on here that I'm having audio read to me.
I must have been fast asleep for the whole of 1995. I don't remember the court case and Prince Charles hounding the author before eventually giving her an official pardon. I know it says it's been banned in Britain, so maybe all the hoo ha about it was in the media abroad. Maybe our press were banned from mentioning it. Who knows?

Does anyone else remember this causing such a stir in 1995 or am I seriously losing the plot?

It's called Snowdrift and other stories (includes three recently (2016) discovered short stories).

Thank you, will see if I can borrow it, if not, I may purchase it.
