I heard a trick for this, if you try going back into the list and selecting a different book as read, add the date, but then delete it from your shelf. That made my bookmark appear for a different list when it glitched.

I didn’t quite do this - I changed the read dates of another qualifying book I read last month - but gave me the idea to try a different book!

My book finally arrived from America!

It’s an ex-library book, from Concord Public Library in Massachusetts. Quite fun knowing its history.

I purchased it from Better World Books through AbeBooks. Can recommend if anyone is after something specific. AbeBooks has different sellers so check reviews like any marketplace. I could have ordered directly from Better World Books but it was cheaper through AbeBooks (which I think is owned by Amazon!).

Tbh, I'm racing through it but don't want to spoil anything so

I've read one or two of his other books and liked those, too.

I'm at around 23% so far. It's my first book of his but it definitely won't be my last!

I will remember those for next year. I think I need to step outside of my comfort zone to complete this challenge. I guess that is why it is a challenge though!

Xingu by Edith Wharton is a short story about a book group which I would recommend- pretty sure it was available on Project Gutenberg too!

I think today’s heart for Christmas chapter is the worst yet

are we really meant to believe two teenagers had sex (with April losing her virginity) in a hospital room on the paediatric cardiology ward?

Back in May(!) someone must have read or recommended Voyage of the Damned by Francis White as it’s on my wishlist and only 99p today. Anyone remember what was so good about it?

Forget you saw her is next on my to read list, then I think I have read all her books. I do find them a bit tame for my liking but the pacing is really good.

I liked Grey after dark best out of all her books.

I loved Grey After Dark. It really had me on the edge of my seat and was definitely a “one more chapter” type of book.

Part way through and struggling with it, not sure whether to sack it off or carry on.

Think I have been influenced by Booktok because all these creators saying these 'thriller' books had them on the edge of their seat and I find them so boring maybe i have a high tolerance level im not sure but please someone recommend me a book that will actually scare me.

I was the same! It’s just strange . Like I say it kept me reading but I think I wanted to know what was going to happen because so many people (booktok ) said how amazing it was and rated it 4-5 stars!

As long as you enter how many pages/percentage read every day, it puts it all on the calendar then I just download it from the button at the top of the page. For tattle, I usually minimise all the background so the calendar is bigger and easier to see the books! I love bookmory, only downside is you lose all your data if you change your phone. They do have a backup option but ive not investigated that yet.

I sometimes find it really difficult to settle on a book (like right now, I'm about to abandon Good Spirits because I'm a third in and I don't think it's working for me ), so I like to have a lot of choice. I'm definitely all about comfort reads at the moment.

It takes a LOT for me to give up on a book even though I’ve read some right old shite this year. I can only remember one book I’ve not finished!
I’m not sure where exactly good spirits got me hooked, but it absolutely did.

I Hope This Finds You Well is such a good fun book. I really enjoyed it.

Me too, thought it was so funny and it also had some sensitive parts I thought were done well.

You can get it from the library and I think it's on audible if you don't want to buy the book.

I finished Actually I’m a Murderer by Terry Dreary last night - he of Horrible History fame and I can’t decide if I liked it or not . I’m not sure if it was meant to be funny or not and it felt a bit of a drag at times

I bought this on Kobo the other day because I recognised his name. I haven't started it yet but will come back here once I have.
