I don't live anywhere near London but I have negative associations with Daunt Books because there's a regular customer at my work who always carries one of their bags and she's a right holeNot sure if you agree.
I couldn't possibly comment, not having been there...

It is lovely (I used to work round the corner from it) but this was a few years ago when my TBR was under control and I think I only ever bought a couple of books, if I remember rightly it has top ‘bookshop aesthetic’ but wasn’t laid out in a way that tempted me to buy things that interested me (they have a large travel section etc). I meant to revisit over the festive season but ran out of time. Not sure if you agree.

Just picked it up from the library, it’s going to be my Boxing Day book! Seeing it everywhere, I hope it lives up to the hypeHas anyone read The Correspondent? Its my bookclub pick for Jan but I'm hoping to get a start on it today.
Got the last chapter to finish off when the house is Christmas Day ready later. I enjoyed Xmas Break much more than A Heart For Christmas but even that one had me totally rolling my eyes and sighing for the last couple chapters.Anyone still on the horrible advent book? We get toburn it throw it to a lake fire it into spacebe done with it today!

I noticed my library has got a shed load of books like this in.I have already planned my January in terms of the books that I will be reading as I have chosen to read only murder mystery/cozy mystery books.
Tbh I prefer to read a cosy mystery as they are a lot more relaxing but when it comes to murder mysteries I much prefer ones that are set in the 1920s/30s as I find I can connect to them more as they have a much more whimsical feel to them.I noticed my library has got a shed load of books like this in.
Must be a lot of bloodthirsty people out there.![]()
