Yeah the first time i read book 1 i struggled with it, but then got into it. I have to say on re-read it was much easier and really appreciated the first half too. I found the re-read of first one really useful as I remembered less than I thought. I think I would've been pretty confused going straight to the 2nd one
A lot happens in book 2, it's a lot to take in!That is exciting news! I think I’ll have to reread bk one too, I find story deets are very much in one ear and out the other these days. All my friends in real life are on Goodreads so I keep that going for the interaction side of things but I keep StoryGraph for myself as like a private log.

I know reading goals aren't everything but it helps me keep motivated even if I'm not sure I'll hit the target. Good luck to anybody else still working towards a goal
I think because Amazon owns Goodreads they’re not going to willingly let other tracker apps automatically update from Kindle or Audible.
But oh how convenient it would be if they did!

They are all a bit dramatic, aren’t they? She’s only been in Morzine for two weeks and not only has she been in love for a week already, she’s now banned from seeing him incase she faints again. And because she didn’t go home one night, and she’s not kept up with her studies, he’s such a bad influence. Are 18 year olds adults in France? Because everyone is behaving like she’s 15
I know. At 18/19 I’d often stay out overnight. I know I’m not a heart patient but still.
I’ve also just caught up on this one, another advent book which was on KU. It’s okayish, probably the better of the two I’m reading.
As long as you enter how many pages/percentage read every day, it puts it all on the calendar then I just download it from the button at the top of the page. For tattle, I usually minimise all the background so the calendar is bigger and easier to see the books! I love bookmory, only downside is you lose all your data if you change your phone. They do have a backup option but ive not investigated that yet.
Is it just me that always stresses on how to rate a book? 4/5 stars are hard for me

I am reading this too, I felt it was being dragged out a bit and not much was really happening, that’s sort of changed today and tomorrow is clearly going to be a here’s Jonny! Moment. Not long to go though and we have no idea why they’re doing any of this.
I don’t mind a heart for Christmas. I’ve made peace with the fact that it’s just 19 year old drama drama drama.
Enjoying ‘Everyone this Christmas has a secret’ and the Christmas puzzle book is ok, it veers from stupidly easy puzzles one day to fiendish the next which is a bit frustrating.
I have hit a bit of a slump with A Discovery of Witches, on Amazon it says it’s 600 pages but the chapters on my kindle reliably inform me it’s 787. Nothing like thinking you’re almost at the end and then realising you’ve got another 200 pages to read!
I am also reading the second Lies of Locke Lamora book, only 100 pages in but enjoying it.
Hoping to finish them all plus my audiobook by Christmas Day and on Christmas Eve I’m hoping to read Advent by Gunnar Gunnarsson, Villiage Christmas by Laurie Lee and the Woman in Black by Susan Hill (The first line of the book is, “It was 9:30 on Christmas Eve so it has to be done!)

I've seen that a few times and thought it might be my kind of thing
I'm on the second of the Elizabeth Chadwick trilogy about Eleanor of Aquitaine which I'm really enjoying. Its book 98 of the year so need to finish the trilogy and one more before new year!
Ooh I read that recently! Great isn’t it! I love how the ‘extra gift’ is a complete puzzle to start with but makes sense at the end of the story!
