I’m reading The Hogfather by Terry Pratchett and it’s probably my most reread book and omg I do love the discworld books. I think I find something different funny each time I read it and some really poignant parts too
then I’m reading a Christmas Carol which has a lot to live up to as I’m obsessed with the muppet version - but I’ve only ever tried Dickens once and found it a slog so interested to see how I get on with.
I had a few more Christmas reads lined up but really I’m craving some more history reads

Hogfather is such a wonderful, funny, clever book! My favourite Discworld so far
Christmastide doesn't really end until Epiphany (Jan 6th) so I think reading Christmas books counts as seasonal until at least then!I really need December to last 3 months
Or perhaps we should adopt the 'Christmas in July' thing and get in some Christmas reads over the summer...

This year was far better than last year, quality-wise.

I love the Death books! I've only read Equal Rites from the witches side of things, though, so I need to get into Wyrd Sisters. I started chronologically after finishing Hogfather, and I think I'd do better by theme.
Urgh so I read an article about a hiking tragedy and this book has come highly recommended but it doesn’t seem like it was published in the UK and costs £19 quid from Amazon US for a 200 page paperback.
I’ve checked WOB, eBay and vinted but no luck. It’s on audible for £12.99 without credit (I might be able to get an audible deal) but I really don’t get on with audiobooks very well. Not on kindle.
I think I want it even more now I can’t seem to get it any other tips or would I just have to suck up the cost?

The annoying thing is, if one of us spotted it whilst donating money to charity and receiving books in exchange we’d have no way of getting it to you. Unless we asked the charity shop to hold it and then post on here that x shop in y town has it for Tofino.
My friend read 'Kissing the Coronavirus' as a joke during the pandemic, it's got a pretty special cover.
I read them chronologically to start about 20 years ago but recently been going by theme. I find they are perfect for getting me out of a reading slump.
terrys biography is a great if heartbreaking read too

I think it’s just quite a niche book. I’ll keep it on my Amazon wishlist and see if any second hand ones pop up at a reasonable price.

it doesn’t appear to have been officially published in the uk. biblio uk came up in a search for me as having it but don’t know how legit they are!

I read that last month - it’s such a good read isn’t it
Flew through it, and it felt great after a reading slump.
Such a heavy book but one of the reviews on Goodreads said "I'm glad her mom died too" and it made me cackle
