I do this too! Although I have been looking at new beds this weekend so wondering if my bed upgrade should also include the Kindle set up and I should invest in a stand and page turner.I lay on my side and lodge it against a cushion
What a day!i have also this morning done something i said i would never do and have purchased a kindle
i’m still going to buy “real” paperbacks as much as i can, waterstones isn’t getting rid of me that easily, but i’m finding hardbacks so cumbersome to read these days (unless it’s a book i’m really invested in) so it will be for new releasesand all those spicy kindle romances that are never in actual paperbacks yay![]()
i was going to buy alchemised for nostalgia but i can’t imagine being able to physically even hold it to read. i love a chunky book but it is almost obnoxiously chunky when released from ao3What a day!
I do love a hardback but more for the look and feel than to actually read, although saying that I do like not having to worry about cracking the spine
I’m hoping Alchemised goes on a 99p Kindle deal, I’m 60% through but it’s just so cumbersome I can’t read it comfortably for long.
I have a stand but I can never get it in the right position - a cushion is much easierI do this too! Although I have been looking at new beds this weekend so wondering if my bed upgrade should also include the Kindle set up and I should invest in a stand and page turner.
I have to rest it on a cushion, it’s ridiculous! I really should prioritise finishing it before it’s too much effort to get back in to. I’m guessing that it’ll go on a kindle deal when I’m 50 pages from the end.i was going to buy alchemised for nostalgia but i can’t imagine being able to physically even hold it to read. i love a chunky book but it is almost obnoxiously chunky when released from ao3
i really want the elena ferrante complete edition because it’s beautiful but also look at it, i can’t lift that

I have one of those holder thingys that clip on stuff so i had i clipped to my headboard but it's really hard to move it and get it in the right position. Haven't actually used it or the page turner for months. Tbh i should probably get back to the holder so i can raise my kindle and look straight at it cause my neck is always stiff from looking down on my phone then at the kindle in the eveningsI have a stand but I can never get it in the right position - a cushion is much easier![]()
I wouldsend that picture to the publisher and ask them that question. In my past they'll send you a new copy. I have had it happen twice, once with a collection of poetry and the other with Narnia.Could anybody who has read Britt Marie Was Here summarise what happend between these pages please? Gutted!
Thank you I never thought of that! Bought the bugger on Kindle now.I wouldsend that picture to the publisher and ask them that question. In my past they'll send you a new copy. I have had it happen twice, once with a collection of poetry and the other with Narnia.
How annoying.
I felt smug but regretful leaving Waterstones empty handed earlier until I remembered I bought two books at the local independent yesterday (they had a discount day and it’s important to shop local right?!)
I haven’t but I invested a good 5 minutes hinting I wanted it earlier 🫣After umming and ahhing for days I caved and bought the ‘A Heart for Christmas’ advent book!! Has anyone else bought it?
I couldn’t resist the French Alps / chalet in a ski resort theme. Although I’ve not really read much YA fiction so not sure what to expect there.
Amazon because i had a voucher to use to go towards the price (I convert my BP petrol points to Amazon and use it on books!)I haven’t but I invested a good 5 minutes hinting I wanted it earlier 🫣
Where did you get yours from?
They’ll refund an accidental purchaseThank you I never thought of that! Bought the bugger on Kindle now.![]()
I was hoping one of the supermarkets had it half price lolAmazon because i had a voucher to use to go towards the price (I convert my BP petrol points to Amazon and use it on books!)
Even on vinted people are selling it for £15 before fees! Amazon was £18.40 and I had £3.01 left of my £5 voucher. I wonder if it will go down in price once we hit December.I was hoping one of the supermarkets had it half price lol
Good intel on BP.. I have a card but don’t got that often so have never really thought about the points..
