Ooh hi everywun, thanks for making this thread! Not a gymer but I'm a runner so hoping I'm ok to join?
I'm currently in an absolute ditch of exhaustion in my half marathon training. I'm 5 weeks out and my 2 year old just will not let me bloody sleep so I'm only getting 6 hours broken sleep a night. I tried to get up at 6am this morning for interval training but couldn't do it - husband works from home so hoping he can watch the sprog in a bit so I can get out and run.
I'm also absolutely head ducked on my calories too.
I've struggled with my relationship with food for years and can tend to obsess over how much I'm eating. I tend to pile on when I'm not counting calories but get very exhausted from doing it when I am, which makes me stop
I'm a little overweight (BMI 26) so hoping to be gradually shedding some large which I think I happening, but also aware I need to be properly fueling for training. Big head duck.
One more week until my peak training week which includes a 20km run and then I will begin to taper off. Thank duck.

course you’re welcome! I’m not a runner but husband does ultras (which is honestly a mental illness)
I was a bmi of 26 so I understand exactly what it’s like. Everyone will say you’re not large (because you aren’t) and no one will suggest weight loss but you know that you’d feel and perform better at a lower bmi.
from what I see running will definitely do it! Also carbs are your friend especially potatoes and rice. God I love
my local gym is having a "new year, better you" program where you try to work towards any kind of fitness goal, but the group chat keeps getting spammed with people posting their slimming world-esque meals

That kind of food honestly makes me rage. Especially when it's someone who has a fair bit of weight to lose and they're trying their best. It's so unnecessarily miserable. You're allowed to eat a steak and a curry. Just count your calories.
I’ve been good with my eating today and yesterday, last week was a shitshow so started a cut yesterday. Mainly have a bit of large on my stomach to lose. I’m struggling to fit workouts in with work and not getting much sleep due to toddler so going to focus on my nutrition and track everything then workouts are a bonus. I tend to hit 10,000 steps each day no problem.
Hey hi - I don't know what thread you're all from but can I join anyway?!
I'm on a gym mission (Deadly Dozen if anyone's ever heard of it) but also a revenge body mission so it's 1200 calories and dreaming of pizza over here for January 🫠🫠🫠

Welcome! We're from the Becki Jones thread (or actually the Becki Jones off topic thread - very meta). Good luck on your programme

Have had to start drinking my carbs to get them all in. Terrified I'll wake up looking like Bison. Even though I know that's not physically possible, I have the fear
I've gone in on the Wiki and LOLLL, I'm all in on this already 'Becki Jones is a TikToker aged 32, who lives at home with her Mum and Dad in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, UK. They have a bidet and that is how she ensures her bum hole and surrounding area is skid free.' I need to know everything 🫣

You're a hero, I didn't get back to it until my daughter was 3+ because she was such a tit bag sleeper so I used my work skiving time to nap rather than go to the gym. When you finally train on decent sleep (it will happen), you'll feel amazing.
