I have 5 children 2 girls 3 boys, the 2 girls have one room, 2 oldest boys have the other and the baby has his own (he’s not actually a baby he’s 15 months) it works fine, there was a time when I had the oldest 3 all in one room (their choice) i put them all in bed said night and didn’t hear from them till the morning
