I think there’s a lot about Binky that is ridiculous, but I think when it comes to certain birth choices it’s a bit of a reach to hold that against her.
Opting to have pain relief during labour in whatever form does not take anything away from what a woman goes through during pregnancy and giving birth. There is nothing wrong with opting to have some pain relief to make birth more comfortable (which is relative because let’s face it: giving birth is never going to be comfortable!). Equally what’s wrong with having a planned induction, any more than others have elective caesareans? That’s not a private thing and is just as available on the NHS.

I can’t believe that poor little boy is so fresh out of the womb he literally has bodily fluids all over him, and she already has him plastered all over the media/internet. It’s a really sad reflection of the world we live in today.
Does anyone else remember her sharing a part of her interview where she said something along the lines of 'I was asked to share some content of the birth by a brand I was working with at the time'... Well, I recall this video where she showed a lot of detail of the birth (can't find the post- appears to have been deleted?)
Watching this reel, it feels incredibly intimate and is showing a lot of detail. I wonder whether Binky has been asked to share some of the journey again, but isn't declaring it as an ad because this would just be so incredibly tacky?
I know she is a champion (as are all women) for giving birth, but it does annoy(?)/concern me that her showing (for the second time) such a calm birth to her followers- many of whom are likely new or expectant mothers and some of whom may have had more stressful labours(!) I hope they know this isn't a typical birth and however it happens doesn't define who you are as a mum.

Iooked at her companies house information (there's two records for her for some reason). She's actually got a lot of money coming in (probs all the ads).

Conversely when you've got someone like Louise Thompson crying in bathtubs and preening around all day about her birth trauma nearly 2 years on, it's nice to have the balance.
There's enough drama and trauma posts about giving birth out there which also makes expectant mums think thats all that happens. I've been present at quite a few births and they've all been calm like Binky's.
I agree re balance and but I have to say that you're lucky all the births you've been present during have been calm like Binky's. Unless they all had epidurals.
Anyway, I guess my point/intention was more I don't understand why influencers want to show so these intimate moments with millions of people and I am sceptical she wasn't asked to do so after last time.

I had a calm birth, no pain relief. It happens. Not for everyone, but it’s not a given that it’s impossible. In fact medical intervention (including epidurals) make it less likely. (Not here looking for a medal or a circle jerk, just an area I’ve done a lot of research in and am always sad to see commonly held but misinformed opinions on.)
If you took the money out of it, I wouldn’t give a tit Binky had shared intimate details so soon. There’s an argument to be had around the consent of the child, I know (that’s a whole new thing, historically speaking, and an area I think will remain murky for at least a few years yet), but if you look at it as her experience (which it also is) we’re all wired differently - some want to share, some don’t. It’s the fact it’s all spon-con that makes it icky. Is this a genuine personal display from someone who just happened to be recompensed for it, or is the sharing simply for the moolah? In which case, gross. Capitalism converging on childbirth - one of the most sacred human experiences we have left - is gross.

Well it’s slightly better than Wolfie-that child will be howled at,at school-this lot really don’t think about other kids being cruel.
