How friendly she is depends on how useful you are to her. She picks up and drops people a lot but is very loyal to her inner circle who see her as Queen B.

She loves Lil P very much. She was badly messed about by the ex which created a lot of insecurity and she had many many dates afterwards that weren’t as fun and gal about town larks as portrayed. He was very keen to commit very quickly as he’s an acquired taste and older, so she found security with him that she hadn’t had before.

She is the main breadwinner which means she does a lot of solo socialising as Lil P can’t chip in.
The big statement about buying her own engagement ring was to cover up the fact he couldn’t afford one.

I’m sure my friend said Lil P has a son but I can’t see any mention of that on her feed so could be mixing that up with someone else in that group.

The new flat in Forest Hill was apparently a bank of mum and dad move hence it never being explicitly mentioned that they bought the flat rather than were renting it.It is very common in that circle to buy flats in hipster parts of London with parental help but keep it quiet as it isn’t relatable to their social media politics.
I would have thought her book advances and Navabi salary would have meant she could have done it solo but I don’t know what the reality of book advances is!

She is deeply insecure about her looks, especially her teeth, which is why she doesn’t smile with her teeth and does the pout.

I’ve always found the sex work stuff really hard to swallow from her, I’m not a SWERF there’s a lot to say about the whole thing that I won’t get into here, but...... it’s really easy to advocate for these things when your kids will never be in that position. Jemima will be a social media manager for Vice or something, so she’s fine? They always talk about a small % of sex workers active on Twitter and not the fact care leavers / DV and other abuse survivors are hugely over represented in SW populations. I think it was around that era I unfollowed her because she hasn’t a clue.

I feel exactly this. I'm all for safe working conditions for sex workers, and decriminalisation, and creating support networks wherever possible. No judgement on career choice.

But I just don't think I can be cool about a society where I'm supposed to think it's fiiiiiiiine that men can consume women as products and that's sound? And don't structures in which traditionally female skills (caring; teaching; nursing) earn significantly less than male skills (carpentry or whatever shit) and are valued less force women into the sex industry? And that's before we even consider trafficked women (AND CHILDREN)? And apparently that means my politics are bad?

I dunno, I despair. But you're right, people like BR will never really have to worry about that.

I saw Bethany on the tube once and she gave me the death stare from afar for no reason, I knew I recognised her from somewhere so awkwardly smiled at her which only seemed to make the death stare more intense.

A friend who works in PR said back in Bethany’s queer femme days when she was dating the Swedish guy called Dennis Bethany basically bullied my friend’s company into sending her free stuff otherwise she would have branded them fat-phobic.

I once was invited about 2 yrs ago to some shitty boring hipster poetry event. i think it's been mentioned on this thread already, but she said on her podcast that she was approached to write a novel by her publisher and had never considered or been interested in writing fiction before that. I imagine that's a far cry from the graft most authors have to do to even get to the point of having someone look at their manuscript let alone getting published
