I love Kat. She's so sweet and funny.Kat trying to hide her laugh at Luke's "profound" goodbye speech was very relatable.

I’ve said this so many times watching this season, it’s awful really.8 week old baby and you’re completely isolated in a foreign country with no family around and a dad who only rocks up every 2-3 days for a night … horrendous situation , poor girl . Production should not have made her do that , even if it meant not having Nathan for a season . He’s not even that good TV and I doubt he’ll be back after his racist remarks !
Max. Nathan was gonna kill him last timeI have a feeling we’re not done with Gen drama yet. Poster on Reddit saying Luke might have to return because ‘Norma’ can’t find a replacement deckhand. Other Redditor spotted Max from seasons-past in some background scene from a future episode. Just keep Kizzy & Solene away, s’il vous plait.

No amount of manipulation from a tv company would make me do that. Unless they handcuffed and dragged her there, she could've said no, she knows the score.8 week old baby and you’re completely isolated in a foreign country with no family around and a dad who only rocks up every 2-3 days for a night … horrendous situation , poor girl . Well , honestly I think that’s a bit of an unsympathetic view and rather a callous way to look at it . She likely made the choice pretty selflessly as well as I’m sure Nathan really wanted to film the show but didn’t want to leave her or the baby , production really wanted him there as they love a returning face and wanted to cash in on the rift he has with Joe , and so I’m sure she was getting pressure from all angles to do this . She chose poorly , yes , but likely because she was misinformed and also pressurised by a lot of people to do it .No amount of manipulation from a tv company would make me do that. I don't feel sorry for her, she had a choice and made the wrong one.
Sorry, can't agree. I've turned down lucrative work when it seemed obvious the relocation wouldn't align with family obligations. Anyway, I've always suspected Nathan was more interested in Australian residency than Gael.Well , honestly I think that’s a bit of an unsympathetic view and rather a callous way to look at it . I disagree also that she knows the score . She probably agreed to do this wayyyy before she had the baby . It’s her first - she likely had no idea what it would be like , what an emotional rollercoaster postpartum is and how isolating it can be when you have your village around you - let alone when you’re abroad , alone and away from everyone you love . 8 weeks post having a baby is such a fragile time and it’s hard to appreciate that unless you’ve actually been there .
It’s a pretty black and white view to go “well you made the call , boohoo , suck it up” .
Yes I’m sure your situation is completely comparable to Gael’sSorry, can't agree. I've turned down lucrative work when it seemed obvious the relocation wouldn't align with family obligations. Anyway, I've always suspected Nathan was more interested in Australian residency than Gael.
I would feel sorry for anyone having a baby with Nathan. No amount of manipulation from a tv company would make me do that. Unless they handcuffed and dragged her there, she could've said no, she knows the score.

Hahahah this made me laugh out loud !I would feel sorry for anyone having a baby with Nathan.
Can’t see why she didn’t use the opportunity to fly to Ireland spend time with Nathan family instead of being in Croatia.Seriously, Gael should never have gone to Europe alongside this charter, she should've stayed at home where she had family support if she was finding things so difficult.
She's done yachting, she knows the workload and teamwork required, and to keep piling emotional pressure on Nathan to be away from the boat is wrong, I guarantee a much bigger issue would be made of it if a male was manipulating a female in the same way.
I'm not Nathan's biggest fan at all, but Gael is not coming off well here at all.
I know it's unsympathetic, I literally said I have no sympathy.Well , honestly I think that’s a bit of an unsympathetic view and rather a callous way to look at it . For once, Joe seems like the mature one. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd like him. LOLHe’s got me liking Joe this season which I thought was an impossibility
Hindsight is 20/20 and I’m sure she agrees with you now that it was a daft decision , particularly as they don’t appear to be together anymore . But you can think she made a poor choice and also feel sorry for her as a new mum isolated from everyone and everything she knows .I know it's unsympathetic, I literally said I have no sympathy.
She knows the score as in how many hours are required to work on a super yacht and the lifestyle that comes with it, and how intense a six-week condensed season is. It wasn't her first rodeo by any means, nor Nathan's.
If she signed up while pregnant, she probably should have said "I'd like to do it but I don't know what my life as a parent wIl look like so I can't make a firm decision right now".
Agreeing to stay in a hotel for up to two months, away from all other familial support, starting when that baby is less than ten weeks old is absolute madness. She's not a child and didn't previously appear to be stupid, but I clearly read that wrong. I agree that no-oke probably realises the impact having a new born has on your life, your body, your hormones and your mental health, so why not err on the side of caution and decide to stay close to a stable support network?
And if she did it because Nathan wanted to be involved, and pressure was coming from him, then he was being selfish in putting his own wants and needs ahead of those of his newborn child, and for me that would've been enough of a red flag on its own to say "You know what, no thank you."
So no, I don't feel sorry for Gael or Nathan, I feel sorry for the baby, whose welfare I seem to have thought about, sadly, far more than either of his parents.
I mean, being a smoker and getting cancer isn't really a comparable situation, the smoking may not have even been the cause, and I would always sympathise with someone who had a life-threatening illness.Hindsight is 20/20 and I’m sure she agrees with you now that it was a daft decision , particularly as they don’t appear to be together anymore . But you can think she made a poor choice and also feel sorry for her as a new mum isolated from everyone and everything she knows .
my nan for example smoked 40 cigarettes a day since she was 16 , but that didn’t mean we weren’t sympathetic when she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer . We didn’t just leave her dying in the hospice going “oh sorry nan but you’ve made your bed and you must lie in it . You chose so smoke so I don’t feel sorry for you while the cancer ravages your body”
my point is that I’ll never not feel sorry for a new mum in distress . No matter if it was her decision or not . Likely she was highly pressurised into making the decision in the first place but even if she wasn’t I still think she deserves an ounce of compassion . Maybe I’m all mushy because I am a mum and currently pregnant but I do feel for her
