Ellie, oh god. I was just starting to like her again after the train wreck that was her last season. I do think that her points (not liking being called pet names, being left to do all the cleaning while Ben goes off for a bubble bath) are valid, but her crash out was far too much. It’s not okay to be shouting and swearing at someone and accusing them of abuse. I’m glad Daisy was willing and able to step in.

Mike is shit at his job and a crap team player. Alesia’s not great either, but at least she seems to be doing her job now. Right now, Betul is by far my favourite, but she’ll not get invited back because she’s drama free.

Yeah I totally get why she was angry but she needed to raise it with Jason before she blew up at Ben. It would have made more of an impact if she’d been professional and not lost it.

Mike is annoying and has a bad attitude. Alesia is a bit useless with poor attention to detail but at least she’s trying most of the time. Betel is great, I like that Joao trusts her to just get things done with no fuss. She’s one of the few who will actually have a career in the industry and not just clout-chase I think.

Yeah the self sabotaging what would have been a sure thing bit of fun with Jenna just shows he needs to step back and focus on healing.

I love Betul. What an absolute superstar she is.
Eddie is rank, he’s definitely the incel type, jenna is embarrassing and just likes attention, and doesn’t actually like either of her ‘options’, daisy and Joao need to stop pissing about and get it on (GET ON WITH IT DAISY, do it for me ), Elle is, as ever, a fucking headcase and Ben is still the same sleazy bastard but without his happy go lucky moments of charm which redeemed him before. I actually sort of hate most of this crew

I’m rewatching an older series with Ben in it and he’s not actually that different, I never realised it before though, think it was because he didn’t really get called out and others were worse than him so he got away with it

Imagine how Ben would have reacted had he cleaned and prepped his kitchen and other crew and gone in, started making food with the provisos and not cleaned up - he'd have lost it.
He's also being unprofessional by empowering Ellie to be a disrespectful cunt to a HoD.

How does Joao's rank as Second Officer compare to Ben's as chef?

Joao is higher isn’t he? I think. Ben would’ve lost his ever loving mind in a vice versa situation, he’s a hothead at the best of times but he really hates extra work so it would be a bad situation all round I think. Especially if the offending party took the same ‘I couldn’t care less about you or your work’ attitude, he just thinks he’s above everyone else. Rank isn’t everything (even for Ellie ) they all have their part to play!

Jason is great in lots of ways, he’s a team player, he tries to play to and encourage peoples strengths plus he’s nice to look at of course but he’s poor when it comes to ‘making a stand’ so to speak with poor behaviour, he doesn’t seem to have hard lines with very much.
