My take on this ep:

- Mike's banter was funny to me, but he could see Jenna didn't get his humour and took offence, then saying that to Daisy was not on.

- Ellie is actually unhinged!!

- Daisy isn't my favourite Chief Stew, but I love that she takes no shit. Don't mess with an Irish lass!!

- Ben needs to grow up, getting with women half his age is not the answer

- When I saw João was on it this season I was dreading it, but compared to how he was in his first season he has grown soo much. He seems really sweet about Daisy and definitely has a soft spot. He messed with Ellie, but I don't think it was intentional. He's actually really funny too!

He’s been at Southampton boat show. I got hugs from him today he’s SO lovely, remembered what he’d spoken to me about yesterday and continued the conversation today. Genuinely a nice guy, interested in everyone he meets. Utterly gorgeous in the flesh.

I’ve watched a LOT of reality tv, and I am absolutely convinced that Aesha is hands down the best talent on any of them. She’s so wholesome, but also such a crass beyotch. I love her

I've almost finished watching, I agree. As much as ok not a fan of these guests, rushing through the charter is a joke.

No idea what happened there, should clearly say "I'm not a fan". Anyway ...

Yes, all too rushed. No conclusion of the Ellie promotion issue with Ben, no personal tie-ups of the throuple situation with Jenna/Ben/Eddie, no reflection on the fact that Jason has totally lost his edge as a captain, and most disappointingly, no acknowledgment that Betül is the true MVP of this crew; unproblematic, hard-working, funny. Hope she returns for another BD season.

I didn't enjoy this season of BDDU as much either. It felt like nothing much happened and the ending was weirdly rushed. Increasingly, it feels like the crew are just a bunch of OnlyFans models or influencers recruited for drama.

I was annoyed they missed ao much of the last charter, I saw on TT Joao went down the slide after a guest and accidentally collected them in the water, wish they showed that. He also apparently came out of a cake.

Too much drama with crew hook ups, repeated segments.

And they dont bother with reunions anymore the way they ended the season gave no real closure.

Production lately have been doing a terrible job across all three franchises (Solene, Mike, Joe) we dont want them, yes we like drama, we love the guests v crew drama, we do like the hook ups but not when someone is kissing everyone in the boat or who just signs up to BD to increase their Socials and who've been on other reality shows. We dont care if your green, but we do care if you only are on BD to boost your followers. There are plenty of other shows dor that. We hated the Instagram style feed one of the franchisees had and we didn't like the pre charter interviews in their homes with the guests.

Please bring back the old school below deck format. And if the cast can make it to watch what happens live, they can also make it to a reunion

As much as I think Joe is a total ick, my heart broke for in this episode.
I can't imagine getting bad news and being so far away.
Fair play to Nathan for checking on him, and to Sandy for immediately stepping up to the plate and offering all the help she has access to.
Also, well done to Joe, his family, Dr Pam and production for sharing the story and including information which can only help with education.

I cba with all the baby stuff though. I literally don’t care that Nathan and Gael had a baby.

Sandy handled that absolutely brilliantly. Sometimes, when something so awful happens, you just need another person to step in and lend you their strength. Even if Joe's mum doesn't end up working with the doctor, you could see the call with her lifted a huge amount of weight off his shoulders. I hope his mum is doing okay.

Gen is doing too much. Kayley is just working hard and being good at her job.

Sleeping /using bedding without covers is manky considering others have to use that bedding. You cant wash a mattress like you can sheets in between sleeps.

The memorial to Bon was very moving to watch, Aesha’s words were lovely. I felt terrible for Cathy, that must have been really difficult for her. Joe and Kizzy are gross. Also, I don’t believe in playing Suffering Olympics, but Kizzy going around whining about how hard it was going to be to face the consequences of her own actions was incredibly frustrating. You’re literally on a boat with two crewmates who are deeply grieving. Can’t stand Joe - he doesn’t feel guilty, he feels bad for himself as he’s now the bad guy.

I do find it really gross that Ben is about 45 (?) and carrying on with Jenna who is what, 22? I know she's an adult and whatever but it just icks me out.

He’s a sleazy bastard, always has been, always will be. Part of it is that he’s shallow as fuck but I think part of it is that he’s so emotionally immature, he knows he wouldn’t really be able to handle someone his own age. He wants someone easier to manipulate, who’s more likely to be impressed by his ‘experience’ etc. I think he’s been hilarious in previous seasons, and he’s a good chef, but without his previous silliness and humour, he is just chippy, sulky, immature and, dare I say, lazy.

Yeah I hate Nathan . I felt him going off at Joe who yes we know has his issues but over something so small on the day of his mum’s cancer diagnosis was so unnecessary and uncomfortable . I was pleased Aesha pointed that out

Josef was a twat but Nathan inflamed the situation . If he’d reacted like Sandy or Aesha who are professionals then that would’ve been that . How are you going to be a bosun or higher if you can’t deal calmly with drunk entitled rich dudes

João has had a great character arc! He started off as a complete tool, and now he's the golden boy.

Thought Ellie had slightly redeemed herself after calling out Alesia but no.
Why does she think she would stand ahead of the second stew, & also not have to take direction from another head of department?
I understand why Ben isn’t wanting confrontation with her but I wish they would all be more direct sometimes.
Ellie you’re a kitchen hand, pipe down.
Mike you’re useless & your hair is ridiculous.

Ben is so clearly a sexist, classist snob and it's honestly embarrassing. Acting like a stroppy teenager when he's nearly 50.

Jenna's behaviour was poor, but she was a drunk 22 year old. The way Ben speaks to and about people is awful, allowing and encouraging his galley hand to bitch about Daisy.

Ellie, oh god. I was just starting to like her again after the train wreck that was her last season. I do think that her points (not liking being called pet names, being left to do all the cleaning while Ben goes off for a bubble bath) are valid, but her crash out was far too much. It’s not okay to be shouting and swearing at someone and accusing them of abuse. I’m glad Daisy was willing and able to step in.

Mike is shit at his job and a crap team player. Alesia’s not great either, but at least she seems to be doing her job now. Right now, Betul is by far my favourite, but she’ll not get invited back because she’s drama free.
