My mum is slightly older than mummy Wend, and I think it's a bit of a generational thing to associate food with love. I wasn't a large child, but I was chunky. However, I can't still blame my mum and how she fed me as a child for any weight issues or eating I do now. Sure, I still eat the wrong/naughty things, who doesn't love a breakfast out where you overeat and walk away and leave someone else to do the washing up. But that haul was pure greed, a melon, some apples and something else that I forget now, as the only fruit and veg. Combine that with the overall feeling of neglect like admitting to not cleaning her teef, and you can see that she's got some bigger (excuse the pun) issues than just being a bit trigger happy on the Ocado app, with a voucher in her hand.
