I know I sound like a Vernon fan girl but he and Jeremy make me roar when they're doing their "handover". Jeremy wound up implying that arson was one of the wholesome hobbies he'd had as a child and neither of them could speak for laughing.

Dare I say it I’d rather Ritchie go with Sara back to breakfast instead of Sara and Ellie together 🫠 and I can’t stand Ritchie either. All the travel reporters are given way too much air time as the class clowns. Sara is funny enough without needing a fluffer.
I always love Vernons reactions to what Jeremy is going to discuss, even though I dont agree with what he says half the time
Got my vote that he goes to breakfast because I'm busy in the mornings and dont have the radio on, so i dont have to listen to him!

I think your on to something but most of the weekend "djs" have other commitments during the week. So I don't know who would move.

Having Mark Goodier on has been amazing. His voice is just perfect, a proper DJ, it's so effortless, talks about the music, doesn't need to have all the nonsense radio seems to have these days.
It's slop isn't it! The drive time show used to feel like an event but the combo of Gerry/Jamie/Katie is a real turn off. Their listeners must have seriously dropped these last few years. Same with the 2 girls who do Fridays/weekends- amateur sixth form vibes

I think radio 1 have dropped the ball since Jordan north moved to capital. There a few good djs there but sum dross as well..
Caught some of 'drive-time' tonight but I keep thinking it's Emma W and not Ellie as they sound so alike. For me Saturday is not as entertaining as it was when Tony,Graham, Claudia and Rylan hosted it just feels flatter maybe because I feel Dermot,Romesh and Emma are all fairly calm and laid back in comparison.
