i quite like sam and dani tbh, i’d listen to them over boring katieIt's slop isn't it! The drive time show used to feel like an event but the combo of Gerry/Jamie/Katie is a real turn off. Their listeners must have seriously dropped these last few years. Same with the 2 girls who do Fridays/weekends- amateur sixth form vibes
I only catch snippets of r2 on a weekend, I used to like Claudia’s show on a Saturday. Don’t really pay attention to Rylan but I like the music he plays.
The point about Mark Goodier being a proper DJ is a very good one. It's a skill, it's a lot more than just presenting. Fair play to Vernon and Sara who have made it but it shows why Zoe Ball wasn't popular. She's good on TV but radio is entirely different.
I still miss Steve Wright so much. And I'd love Simon Mayo back, too.

He is dreadful and even worse when he has stood in for Dermot. I watched an episode of him presenting Celeb Escape to the Country and when he was acting himself he was actually ok. It all went out the window when he saw some passing people (on the river on a barge) and immediately changed and became a complete fool, showing-off. He doesn’t do himself any favours
I don't think they would, they're a bit too playful for R2 still I think (same issue with Greg, his nonsense wouldn't have done well in the mornings on R2). It'll be someone who's already got a slot on R2, no way they're going to be able to pull anyone over from a commercial station when they've announced they're making cuts (commercial radio pays big big big bucks, they're able to because of the advertising cash, that's why Jordan North joined Capital rather than waiting around for Greg to leave the breakfast show)Ooh they’d be great, I wonder if they are in line for a move to R2
