I guess if they gave it to Gary then no other Radio 2 staff would ever be allowed annual leave, or else who else would cover them 😂

Gary would be such a snooze on drive time. He doesn’t do any games. He seems to like being a super sub anyhow.. I would like Grimmy on drive time but he must like the radio 6 breakfast gig and too ‘cool’ for radio 2 maybe!

I've said before, I think they're trying to get someone for drive time from another station. Obviously not worked out yet or like someone else they are focusing on Sara & don't want to take any limelight off her.

What I don't get is why the secrecy around when Sara's starting, I just don't get it!? Just officially tell us already!

I like him. Reminds me of the Radio 1 days in the 80s 😀I've a feeling he's wanting to be like Gary in that he's like the supply teacher and doesn't want a regular slot.

Mark said it would be him and others over the summer so either they haven't yet found a tea time replacement or they're keeping it under wraps until Sara has started breakfast. I didn't listen to the whole show but he was talking about new regular features at the beginning which I don't think they would go to the effort of establishing for only a few weeks.

Agree, they had to do new features now that they're not covering for Sara. Bit like Ten to the Top started with Gary when he was subbing in when Ken left & before Vernon officially started.

I’m not sorry, felt like she was going through the motions since Scott started. I don’t think she enjoys the ‘ ants’ as much. Never felt she has gelled well with Ellie either. Sara is pretty high energy, doubt she could cope with that so early in the morning
