Was just about to say the same, it's a disaster.
I think the presenters going off to do other work is ruining the continuity.
Why tf don't they just recruit decent actual djs from other stations, ones that will be on air consistently.
There are probably hundreds of good ones around the country with untapped potential to do really well on R2.
I love Rylan but I was a bit disappointed in his reaction too. I can’t believe he was only intending to fly home the morning of - surely you wouldn’t leave it that late anyway, and would get home the day before! Shows how much he cares and respects his gig at R2.
I quite like listening to Clara and I heard Edith Bowman the other day too which was a nice throw back.
I agree with though that they should just recruit actual djs and not worry about them being famous already. Someone with a personality who is enthusiastic about music and not talking about themselves is all it would need to be a significant improvement.

I didn't like her when she was on R1 but she's even worse now, she's getting more sanctimonius as she ages like Jo Whiley. She comes across much more like a presenter than a DJ, but then again so do most now, I suppose Clara was ahead of her time in that way
For year my husband has been pissed off that the shows are generally named after the dj's / presenters as, in his words, "They're never there! Why not just call it the morning show, or the afternoon show and then it doesn't matter who turns up or not!".
For context, he's German and has strong opinions on punctuality!
The Zoe move seems odd to me. If she couldn’t manage one show a week how will she do 5?

R2 is gonna get worse as the BBC start making more cuts. R1 is dire too

I know right, I briefly tuned in yday and everyone had an affliction.
The departure of Scott really started a snowball effect of chaos.
I feel like the rot started when steve wright departure & how badly it was handle .
I adore Jeremy Vine's show and listen even when abroad 
I like hearing other people's viewpoints on things, even if I vehemently disagree with them... It's why I've always enjoyed forums I suppose. I also watch his tv programme sometimes (on catch up in the evenings when there's nothing on). Last week on the TV prog he was talking about Tattle (notadoc Jess Taylor was on) and wondering why we (posters here) are the way we are... I chuckled to myself assuming he hadn't had a search of his own name on here and seen me saying the other week in the Secret Celeb Goss thread that I'd climb him like a tree... or maybe he did and it was me specifically he was wondering about

He was just at wimbledon, although was also not there this morning (he's been banging on about not having an invite to Taylor Swift's wedding yet even though she said she'd invite him so he may have gone there)
