That’s what I think. I’m going to add that I wouldn’t be surprised if they had been 17 when the images were sent but if the young person doesn’t see themselves as a victim of any crime then that aspect of it ends here.So something did happen but was all above board/legal?
They had a media commentator on sky news about an hour ago and they seemed to slip up by saying ‘the allegation that it was via only fans‘ so I’m thinking if it was an OF thing, the young person doesn’t actually see a problem with their online sex work/lifestyle plus from the presenters POV there’s the whole reasonable expectation that the person was over 18. Throw in the potential blackmail and it’s much, much easier for them both to come to some kind of arrangement over this - neither of them get done for anything criminally and maybe the presenter will stay anonymous and be able to salvage something from the situation
The mother is obviously at odds with the lifestyle their child has and in all fairness that would be really difficult to swallow. Maybe I’m naive but I think she’s just tried to take control of the situation - if it is true, she’s kinda achieved her aim because the guy is now suspended and the money would surely have stopped now.
Unless like my hubby and his mate think (both senior comms guys) that there is no way she hasn’t been paid. They both think it may not have been the sun that made the payment but its been made by some third party agency so when they say they haven’t paid and payment hasn’t been requested, that’s factually correct
