I agree and I’m not excusing him. I imagine if he ever does release a statement that he will go with the exact same line as PS. At this stage though, I don’t see the evidence that HE has acted as badly as Schofield.
Indeed. He (it seems anyway) didn't bring his young men to work with him or get them jobs on his show or bring them to awards ceremonies. He didn't get people fired for speaking up about his relationships. He didn't rule the BBC with a rod of iron like Philth seemingly did with ITV. He was allegedly warned before about the DM-ing though. Wasn't a good look befitting a serious newscaster. But no, he's no Schofield. And unfortunately I don't think he'll cope well with all this.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head there. The damage is done.
And damage is recovered from anyone making defamatory statements (1) with deep pockets to ensure the defamed victim is not harmed and possibly (2) group of social media users that went viral to send a message and make legal precedent that gossipy statements made on social media or dark corners of the internet are not outside very conservative and prescriptive UK laws

It could be that he was getting so much hate via DMs that he deactivated it. Also, some weirdos will start photoshopping his face on to things and his family will be targeted. Even if he isn’t innocent, his family shouldn’t be published everywhere. Imagine if he is innocent and he’s had to deal with all this tit.
You can turn off your DMs, or choose only to allow people you follow to message you.

Why is he liking tweets? Whatever the outcome of what happened with who and when, presumably the solids here are he has been paying for something from someone that isn’t his wife, and he’s made a utter fool of himself / treated his wife and kids appallingly. He’s hardly in any position to be taking the high road and liking tweets imo. At best he’s a dirty old git. If he wanted a different life he should have made arrangements to have one.
He also should have chosen a cheaper lawyer. Now it just looks like he’s paying once again for the outcome he wants. Round two. It’s pretty grim these filthy old codgers keep getting to select representatives for the potential victims. What bang average 20yo gets a top top lawyer at the drop of a hat.

Maybe she was scared for her child seeing as they allegedly were using drugs, she may have thought her kid would be in trouble? She may have thought if she went to the source of the money to get it to stop her kid wouldn't have the funds for their habit ?
This has majorly backfired. He is probably on a retainer for a long time to keep schtum, plenty of money for drugs, or more hopefully private detox. Unless The Sun can prove he was lying about their being no impropriety. Squeaky bum time for The Sun, the BBC and Huw and the lad.

When I first saw the a photo, I thought it was Lee Anderson MP. Maybe he could play the role?
Wonder if he can do a welsh accent?

Its just all a bit sad, seedy, middle aged man behaviour. Even Frank Bough got coke and hookers, this just conjures up images of HE wanking on a sofa with his pants round his ankles.

I'm going to put my money on this one, tbh. I think Mum doesn't approve of him or her doing online (and/or in person SW), +/- other "lifestyle" things and he or she has gone no contact. Mum has subsequently gone for the nuclear option with not all the facts completely available to her.

Son or daughter has no moral or other qualms about what they're doing, is perfectly happy with their lifestyle and doesn't want to be dragged into all of this.

At least, I do hope that's the case because if not she's given a false affidavit, and since The Sun could still be in trouble here, I don't think that's going to go well for her.
I think this too. And the mother may 100% believe she is telling the truth because that’s her perception. Which could also be why so many news reports have now mentioned that this wasn’t black and white and I go back to what I said on the previous thread - is it morally dubious if OF involved, absolutely. Did It mean a persons kinks should have been made headline news? Probably not.

and if it is OF, I think it throws up a wider conversation socially about what happens when you destigmatise sex work but no work is done to actually protect or support those from the reality of choosing it as a career.

I find this very odd. The police are not investigating anything, and the story is now rubbished by the youngster, and that photo of Huw Edwards is actually just a photorealistic imagining of a middle aged man scowling with his a out?!?

All I will say is this - the BBC and the Met police’s reputation are down the toilet, already. If there is any kind of covering for their corrupt talent, and sweeping under the carpet of any impropriety, they have to be finished as they currently exist. I’ve heard an ex Met police officer say they need to sweep the whole lot out, and start again. I would 💯 back this, and likewise for the BBC, and any other public service, including Government. It seems rotten to the core.
As the purported victim is now an adult, i think he would need to report it to the police himself. Police don't actively investigate crimes based on heresy.

I think the sun have something solid. We are in an era where news agencies being sued by both of the Kings sons, it would be naive to think they are still writing things on a whim.

I wonder if HE split up from his wife a while ago. Before it was deleted I saw no photos of him with his wife. Lots of him posing, looking moody, showing off his body because of working out, his mum, his dog. None of his wife or kids. Could he be out as gay or bisexual to his family and friends etc? And he may have been single for a while?
I’m not sure, there’s a photo of him with his wife on a female friends insta it was Her last post just 1 week ago. I didn’t get the woman’s name and since he’s done something to his insta I can’t find it, but they were tagged at the savoy.
