sorry haven't caught up as it's literally impossible to, but as someone who's been SA'd has it not been considered that perhaps the young person involved just doesn't want all this to come out? like, i personally never involved the police as i didn't want to relive everything, and would probably brand my mum telling others my situation as 'rubbish' too if i didn't want it to get out

(sorry if i've got the wrong end of the stick as i've only skimmed through articles)
I wondered if perhaps he’d been warned by the lawyers he could also face charges if he’d blackmailed the presenter. But you‘ve made a very good point. You can understand why the young lad wouldn’t want to take it further with how some people are now going for his parents blood on this thread and SM.

And to those saying this guy is an adult he’s 20, in the scheme of things he’s still very young.

And old Pip Schofield is thinking “ damn I should have stayed with the beeb and all my tit would have been swept under the carpet”

AI generated pictures are normally very bad with hands. I'm 50/50 on the validity of that picture but I need more analysis on the lighting and textures and whatever than running it through some app to say it's definitely fake
Yeah, I think it’s more likely to be photoshopped than AI or a deep fake.

I would imagine the relationship between the child/ young adult victim and their parents is destroyed, they probably didn’t realise the police would become involved. Why did they think an employer could stop an employee giving money out, or be in control of the investigation which is what it looks like they wanted. HR is much more complicated than just sack someone.
I think they might have seen the Schofield scandal and misunderstood what he was fired for? They may have thought he was fired because it's shameful that he was carrying on with a teenager and lying to the public. But in fact that case is different because it was going on in the workplace and bosses were turning a blind eye to the welfare of the young employee, while Phil used his power to make or break the lad's career. The mum may think this is a Schofield situation, but in HR terms it's not.

The BBC mustn’t of handled it correctly because he wasn’t suspended pending investigation in May, he carried on doing his presenting and was allowed to go to awards etc.. and also carried on sending money after the reports was made.. so he obv wasn’t investigated properly or he just wasn’t arsed that the mother had put a complaint in.
I can only imagine how many crazies call into the BBC with spurious 'complaints' about their presenters on a daily basis. Suspending a presenter simply because somebody mental accuses them (baselessly) of something would probably leave them a little short staffed, I'd imagine.
The suspension would only come once the complaint could be verified as potentially credible, which could take weeks or months (as in this case).

I already know I'd be wasting my time with you. That's a given

And your assumptions about me are way off and quite vile.

Unless more substantive information comes out tomorrow, this whole disgusting saga should be a lesson in how mother doesn't know best, that females no know more than males, that misandry leads to a lot of false accusations based on almost nothing (nothing!), and that an innocent man has potentially been pushed near the edge because of a barmy mother going cap-in-hand to The Sun of all places! I assume The Times told her to sod off, or perhaps she is a Sun reader.
yup barmy mother lets keep with the parent blaming. The Woman has gained nothing from going to the BBC & The Sun in fact it looks like she's prob pushed her Son further away

I’ve just read the Daily Mail and it said the police are not looking into any criminal charges after having just a Zoom meeting with the BBC 🤷🏼‍♀️
The Daily Mail don't like the BBC very much.

Yes, arguably the police could continue with a prosecution if the victim refused to cooperate, and they do this with DV cases most often.

To prove it in this case though, they're going to have to trawl through three years worth of electronic messages over possibly multiple websites and apps, with two people who have expensive, aggressive lawyers who will tell them to duck off and get a court order for the passwords. It will take literally years and cost many thousands of pounds.

All that to prove that someone who was probably 17 years and 11 months old might have fiddled age verification on an adult site then willingly sent pictures to an older man who had the reasonable expectation that the person he was messaging was over the age of 18?

Someone at the CPS has probably already had a heart attack just thinking about it.

Why if you do a search for Graham Norton it says he has been suspended for sexual misconduct occurring in May.....
The only article I could find was this

But never heard of this site and it might not be true. Can’t trust everything you read, as we can all see after what’s gone on today!

Take this article with a pinch of salt though!!!

The Sun must have some sort of smoking gun proof they are sitting on if they have put all this to press?Surely their lawyers aren't that incompetent to let this through without risking libel/defamation..god knows what other legal ramifications? All so odd. But the Sun are the scummiest of the gutter press so at this point I don't know what to believe.
I'm so confused by the whole thing.what a messy situation
