I would imagine the relationship between the child/ young adult victim and their parents is destroyed, they probably didn’t realise the police would become involved. Why did they think an employer could stop an employee giving money out, or be in control of the investigation which is what it looks like they wanted. HR is much more complicated than just sack someone.

I think this is most definitely a situation of confirmation bias - when the story breaks everyone says "Look at this photo, he's a wrong un!" Then when it seems like the story might be fake, the same people go "I could always tell that photo was fake."

It was The Sun. He put a picture on the front of the paper that was clearly edited as the bruise was much brighter than the pic shown in the US trial.
I read the photo (if real) is from someone else who has had paid ‘interactions’ with him. The account on twitter which initially posted it said this.
The picture can only come from one of 2 sources. The boy (who’s claiming all this is fake) or the mum.
