So something did happen but was all above board/legal?
That’s what I think. I’m going to add that I wouldn’t be surprised if they had been 17 when the images were sent but if the young person doesn’t see themselves as a victim of any crime then that aspect of it ends here.

They had a media commentator on sky news about an hour ago and they seemed to slip up by saying ‘the allegation that it was via only fans‘ so I’m thinking if it was an OF thing, the young person doesn’t actually see a problem with their online sex work/lifestyle plus from the presenters POV there’s the whole reasonable expectation that the person was over 18. Throw in the potential blackmail and it’s much, much easier for them both to come to some kind of arrangement over this - neither of them get done for anything criminally and maybe the presenter will stay anonymous and be able to salvage something from the situation

The mother is obviously at odds with the lifestyle their child has and in all fairness that would be really difficult to swallow. Maybe I’m naive but I think she’s just tried to take control of the situation - if it is true, she’s kinda achieved her aim because the guy is now suspended and the money would surely have stopped now.

Unless like my hubby and his mate think (both senior comms guys) that there is no way she hasn’t been paid. They both think it may not have been the sun that made the payment but its been made by some third party agency so when they say they haven’t paid and payment hasn’t been requested, that’s factually correct

Am I correct in making the assumption that if HE doesn’t appear in 59 minutes for news at 10 we can infer that he is the mystery sugar daddy?

Why are celebrities so stupid or is it just arrogance? If I was well known and was doing something a bit on the dodgy side the last thing I’d do is send money from an account where my name was visible.
As ever with these sort of things, it is more a case of power corrupts and the feeling that with money they can make anything go away. We saw it with Clinton (both of them) and many others over the years.

I wonder if the twenty year old still lives at home with their mum & stepdad? If they don’t how’s bank statements been seen and phone calls heard?

It's illegal to make a British crime drama without Sarah Lancashire.

I think this is probably what has actually happened

I am also not sure of the legality of sending photos of yourself under 18. If I remember correctly that too is just as illegal as receiving. Plus there may have been blackmail involved from the boy.

I suspect there is some truth in the allegations but maybe not exact what's been stated. I also suspect its about to be fully brushed under the carpet

I've had some talks with my friends and apparently if you take it off the OF platform, you may pay for custom content with a Paypal or something similar that would likely have your name attached to it
I’ve said various variations of that on here since this first broke. One reason why people do that is to avoid the cut OF takes.

I also said in most of those that the original story didn’t add up and there were details missing (such as blackmail, meeting up etc)

Am I the only one thinking of all the other things I could spend 35k on, go on pornhub for free and not risk losing your job and being publicly humiliated?

Any peaches?
What I’m still trying to get my head around was, why the mum didn’t go the police instead of the paper .

Sun said two concerned parents, thought it was just the mother.

it’s so confusing my head hurts
My thoughts about this were that because their child who was 17 initially may not have wanted to press any charges? As in the police couldn't act upon hearsay from the mum?

I know I did some stupid shit when I was a teen, in fact it terrifies me that I will be raising teenagers soon enough.

If I found out some older man, never mind news presenter had a weird kink and was sending my kid money, I'd be disgusted too and would want everyone to know that the person was a total creep

I'm not siding with the mum and I'm still trying to catch up on posts from 6.30pm but it's too strange a think to make up and go to the newspaper about?

Either way, it was a juicy scandal and now I can't ever look at a pringles tub or a peach the same way again.
