I for one believe them. I don’t see any reason they would put themselves through all this especially with someone so high profile which could land them in hot water if they’ve lied.
But parents do get things wrong, they can do things that aren't in their children's best interests, and they can be manipulated. Why are you so invested that they are the innocent party? They've obliterated the trust that their child had in them (if they had it to start with). They went to the Sun, and that I cannot understand. Go to the police if you're that concerned, not the Sun, with the best will in the world why on earth would you think that splashing the most intimate details of your child's life on the front page of the tabloids would help anything?

Did you believe Karen Matthews? A lot of the women discussed on tattle are mothers - would you believe that everything Katie Price did was in her children's best interests? Jack Monroe?

With the lawyer I wonder if they’re doing smaller upfront retainers eg £5k, they’ll run that down and repeat at a level that’s necessary. All he really needed them for was to contact The Sun with a statement at this point. They’re not working hard on a case.

I totally agree. As a parent myself I’d be devastated if my child was in this position. It may not be illegal if the boy is of age, but the fact a married well known 60 year old tv presenter is paying money into the child’s account would destroy me. I’d do everything I could to stop it, including going to the BBC and Sun if I had to. I would be shocked if the Sun doesn’t have hard evidence, you just don’t print things like this unless you can back it up with proof and photos.

Is it really that bad to hire someone a lawyer or point someone to a specific lawyer if both of you are innocent and the relationship is purely transactional and legal?

So little is known about this that everything is just hypotheticals

Alice Evans springs to mind.

Theres no smoke without fire. Sun would not have published without zilch evidence. Parents have gone behind child's back. Now the child is probably been paid off by the said BBC presenter to say it's all rubbish.

Also is the bum picture real or ai ? Im still 🤔 confused. I'm mean if it is AI someone is a sick muthafucker. If not what where did original post come from ? Maybe the parents

I’m watching Sky and then GBN for the deep delve at 9pm
The Sun say complaint was from both parents 😲
I think the BBC got spooked today and sent the same message to all news media outlets

Controlled ops
Yes been off here for a few hours but tuned in at 6pm (no way HE will be back at 10pm as they will still be covering the story in great detail so it will be Fiona Bruce once more) and that was the first I'd heard there's another parent involved.

I assume the young person dosen't live at home anymore otherwise it will be a very dysfunctional set up going forward!

I'm in line with the pay off stuff tbh. Or the young male got completely spooked by all this dominating the airways in last 72 hours and just wants things to go away. I'm trying not to compare given the gravity of accusations but we saw a very high profile accusation dropped suddenly by the CPS at start of 2023 due to the complaint not wanting to take any further accusations.

In any case given what's out there I just can't see HE ever presenting again. Surely BBC management simply can't risk a high profile presenter casually sliding into random DMs on Insta, Twitter and Linkedin for seemingly non-professional reasons so I take that was part of the reason his insta got deleted just before the 6pm news and his new creation will be for a post BBC future.

Why are celebrities so stupid or is it just arrogance? If I was well known and was doing something a bit on the dodgy side the last thing I’d do is send money from an account where my name was visible.

Has this been posted yet? HE has been active on Twitter today because he’s liked these two tweets…

If you read their article they say they ran the story based on interviews with and sworn statements from the parents. Doesn't sound like concrete evidence to me.

They didn’t, apparently the letter was sent on Friday, The Sun just decided to ignore it.
From what I understood, they sent a text on Friday and it was only today that they sent a letter via the lawyers

They sent it in the afternoon so it's all very nice of The Sun to allow the BBC to be the ones to report it first
