I have friends who do webcam work and have regulars who tip them a lot of money. My thoughts are that HE is a sugar daddy for this young person and the young person has been spending the money on drugs. The mum has found out HE is the one providing the money for the drugs and is so stressed out with her child being a drug addict that she's gone to the papers to try and cut off the funds for the drugs, that's why she doesn't want paying. He might not have known their age, he may very well have. The young person is probably denying it because they don't want to lose their payouts.

Well it’s too late for that. HE won’t be doing that again…if it is him.

For what it’s worth, I don’t believe HE is a paedophile. I don’t even believe that he’s done anything illegal. I do believe he’s been incredibly stupid however and his actions have caused lots of other male presenters to come under scrutiny. I do think some responsibility needs to be taken for that.

Unwise but not illegal strikes again. It's not his responsibility to stop people online going completely gaga, though.

The more you think about this, the more it makes sense that it’s getting swept under the rug.

This is a man that has been involved in one of the biggest events in decades (queens death) and I also assume that he is probably close-ish to the royal family. They don’t want this coming out.

The wording of the lawyers statement is really interesting

"For the avoidance of doubt, nothing inappropriate or unlawful has taken place between our client and the BBC personality...."

Giving money to an over 18 year old in return for pictures would not be unlawful, and you could argue is also not inappropriate.

In fact, especially if it’s true… you e got a child who has drug problems and so potentially MH problems and you pull this tit? I would never ever speak to her ever again. She’d be dead to me. The person is 20 and entitled to make their own decisions, even if the mother doesn’t agree.

The young person has been very badly used, especially by the Sun who ignored their statement on Friday saying it’s not true.

Agreed, I’ve said from the start I feel the mother is in the wrong for going to the Sun. Regardless of semantics, she may have just pushed her child to utterly deny everything. I don’t care about ‘oh she was desperate’ etc. You do not go to the tabloids!! Go to the POLICE.

Are you a parent? Putting this situation to one side, I would do whatever it took to prevent my child from dying, even if they were 20 or older. Sometimes as parents we make mistakes but most of us do what we think is for the best at the time. I would rather lose my child by them never speaking to me again than by dying of an overdose.

RE statement from The Sun:
The mothers complaint was always about the child being sent money and then using it for drugs. Has it been shown to them that the child started doing this at 17?

I know the legal team and etc etc but I just have very little trust for The Sun
