So now the young person has come forward to say nothing illegal happened everyone on sm who was convinced it was HE and he is a wrong un is going with the he paid them off angle? because they didn't like the outcome
If it was HE and he is innocent I hope he gets justice for having his life/career ruined

I’m not sure they can. HE a has a right to privacy.

The young person sent them a statement on h the Friday saying it wasn’t true and they printed the story anyway.

Their story was always, “we reported this allegation to the BBC and the person we reported it about is still on TV” - this was a fact. The story was correct.

Doesn’t mean they won’t be liable though… be interesting to see how this plays out.

So after watching that I’m even more set on the mother being the drug addict and trying to blackmail the bbc on the back of Philip.
HE has children roughly that young persons age and I think that’s where the connection has come from between the children.
im gonna say the mother is jealous of her child who she probably has no relationship with no doubt.
HE has probably been good to the young person through the years with them being friends with his child.
I don’t think a high end lawyer would take on someone knowing they were being paid off. I’d imagine they done their home work. If HE is paying I’d imagine they have evidence that it was an innocent interaction however that may be.
and obviously if the young person has stood by it being lies and probably has evidence against his mother lying then why shouldn’t HE pay for his lawyers. If he’s helped him sonce he was 17 then why stop now? If it’s completely innocent.

Let’s just say that Huw hasn’t paid anyone off and this whole thing is just a fabrication stirred up by a troubled mother… Can you imagine how awful a situation Huw is in now? Career potentially ruined, dignity lost, relationship with his wife and children ruined. It doesn’t bear thinking about.

So the Mum is either lying (which is sick as duck), or the victim has been paid off. Does make you wonder why HE deleted his Insta though. Literally all he had to do was say it wasn't him.

I'm leaning towards pay off, solely because how can the victim get hold of big-gun, top of the top lawyers? How on earth would they have that kind of money?

Or the mum and young person see the events in a completely different way And they are annoyed that she’s taken it this far.

The instagram could just be to stop comments and pictures being lifted.

Lawyers will take cases with a lot of publicity attached for reduced or no fee because the publicity is worth more it May be that they have negotiated a percentage of any income the young person gets from the case which could tip out at more than their fee anyway.

Nothing more reliable than the word of a teen crack addict, who has been selling pics of their genitals, and is no doubt under huge pressure from HE's lawyers.

Has it been confirmed that they were only selling images to HE/“ unnamed presenter” or is it still possible they were selling through OF ? Because if it’s through OF , it’s possible that they don’t want to lose their platform and any other clients- presumably any other clients would be paying similar money if blackmail etc wasn’t involved
