I have to agree. Since Joe wicks mentioned them, their business has exploded, prices have blown up too. As for her ADHD behaviour, she was always quirky before -but never rude like now. Too big for her boots. The chocolate smiths is overpriced, I don’t care what anyone says it seriously isn’t worth the price tag in my opinion. It’s just average.
Totally agree. It is really annoying me that they are expecting customers to find their wrapping machine via different ways. Their chocolate is expensive for what it is and to put an additional % on top to find their machine-that will make them profit is scandalous. Very entitled. I won’t be buying from them anymore. She does does my head in too. I have bought a couple of bars of their chocolate. Once for a gift, and another to find out why such a wait. But when I order sweets, I want them asap. Not in 2 months time. But since watching their stories she has really started to grate on me. The way she speaks to the camera and her annoying voice. Then the begging for money to buy a wrapping machine. They're selling out hundreds of £12 bars in minutes, surely they can afford it. And the way she is being all secretive about where she is at the minute. Nobody cares, love. Nobody is interested in you. Followers are after a chocolate fix, nothing more. The chocolate is bang average. So many people have recreated the Dubai chocolate bar, you can create any chocolate bar you want at home. All you need is chocolate and the fillings
Especially as at the same time they’re supposedly moving house?? So why can’t they stay where they are and use the money for the machine? Also the holiday they’re on atm. Can’t be short of money yet begging for handouts? Nah another one on my NEVER BUY OF THESE GRIFTERS listTotally agree. I think one needs making. I asked a bit ago cuz she does my nut in beg beg beg. Can no one see it? Overpriced tit and they’re begging to get the wrapping machine and moving house? It’s all suspectIs there a Chocolatesmiths thread on here? They're taking the piss now. From Friday I think it is, they'll be sticking unlimited chocolate on their website. So if you want some of their overpriced rit, you'll get it. Only catch is you'll be waiting until March/April for it to be dispatched. And charged a £2 premium to cover the cost of their wrapping machine
I used to love them before lockdown…since joe wicks blew up their popularity Steph has turned into an entitled irritant. I would never buy from them again. Is there a Chocolatesmiths thread on here? Absolutely wild! The chocolate used to be lovely, but after Joe wicks blew up their popularity, Steph has grown the biggest head going and they are delusional to expect customers to pay for their wrapping machineIs it just me, or is the Chocolatesmiths woman becoming more and more unbearable? I don't know why she thinks everyone needs to know how many bars of this that and t'other they've sold. The waiting times for what I found to be mediocre Chocolate were off putting enough. But her irritating voice and way she talks to the camera does it for me. Who are these people buying bar after bar? And don't even get me started on the sad ducks buying bars of chocolate months before they're even in production. To help raise funds for a wrapping machine with their names etched on it. Absolute weapons
I do have to side with Get Baked on this one, seem a few posts from Studio Bakery saying they created the cake from their own memories (?!) not a imitation at allCan see a storm brewing between Get Bakeds army of fans and Studio Bakery due to their launch with Tesco. The influencer comparison videos have already started, I’d put my money on Get Baked sending a few of their cakes out to influencers for positive reviews
What's the difference between Bert and Bertha? I've seen they do smaller sizes now, I might pick one upRich from Get Baked will be absolutely loving it. I liked the look of some of the studio bakery stuff but wouldn’t buy from them because of this and now pretending that they didn’t copy it is wild when there are newspaper interviews with them where they literally say they saw what he was doing and wanted a piece of it
They’re also leaning into the we’re a small business and our product is made with local ingredients but if you look on their website at the ingredients it’s all random stuff you can’t pronounce and preservatives
Get Baked is literally 10 mins from our house and their products are amazing so I’ll always support a local business . Be interesting to see how this one plays out like the Aldi/m&s Colin v Cuthbert
Bertha is the original so 24 layers, Bert is 2/3 of the size and 2/3 of the price, so 16 layers and £13 I think. They’re bringing a Tiramisu Bert out on Monday and I am breaking my diet for thatWhat's the difference between Bert and Bertha? I've seen they do smaller sizes now, I might pick one up
I’ve just seen that on Instagram! I know that some home bakers have done similar cakes to the Bruce but it’s different to another small business ripping him off with a large supermarket.Uh oh, get baked are fuming! Tbf can’t blame them.
Seems like a publicity stunt.I get why he's fuming but why's he giving them the publicity? To set his fans on them? I wouldn't even have known about it otherwise
The fact that people buy from Teddy is insane to me. Imagine waiting four months just for a basic brownie or sprinkle cakeSeems like a publicity stunt.
I get it too, but if you're going to put your designs and ideas out there with no protection then be ready for others to cash in on it.
The Bruce cake will always remind me of Becki Jones demolishing a slice after warming it up in the microwave
Anybody familiar with Terry Bakes? He has his own thread but thought he may have had a mention in here too. A four month wait for four overpriced brownies.
