I totally agree! I think unfortunately he’s getting too big for his boots. People are getting fed up of not being able to order a slice of Bruce yet he can listen to all these crazy different flavours? What made him different was it was a simple concept. Now he’s never there and on holiday all the time the novelty will wear off. Plus he was doing a fast food outlet that never materialised. It seems his ADHD (or whatever his excuse is for being rude) is his personality now and gets far too excited when a z lister tags him

I’m wary of buying anything online since I got a box of various baked goods from cat food cakes and the brownies and blondies had such an overpowering taste of bicarb that I had to throw them away what a waste of £30 for something I could have made and it would have been edible at least.

And I supported Lilsparlour crowdfunder 2yrs ago and have never received the things I should have got as reward. I did try chasing it up a couple of times but have now just chalked it up to experience and stopped supporting similar things now.

I love Cakes_contour. I think it’s reasonably priced and delicious. The guy always replies to messages too.

I like them but after hearing about them using Costco cookies and passing them off as their own I don't know if I'd buy from them. I think that was on the finch thread aswell

It’s a joke that they are “fund raising” for their new wrapping machine. As a business they should fund it themselves. They aren’t a small business anymore-like Finch, they have multiple employees.

Has everyone seen the binky felstead uproar?? The cake maker angesdesucre is bloody annoying!! She’s loving all this attention. She’s so passive aggressive to everyone. Another baker put one of her cakes in an online group and slated it, rightly so in my opinion as it was shitly made, and she went nuts putting it all over her socials. From counter suing someone about her cake sandwiches to charging an absolute fortune for cakes in a can. She deserves her own thread imo!!!

I've seen various posts about this, I do think it's right to call out influencers on stuff like this. I saw a comment by Finch Bakery that said that cakes don't have as wide a reach as other products (because people will order a cake from someone local to them), so it's rarely worth it for them to give one for free.

Now to Get Baked, does anyone know what happened to Eve, who they hired to do their marketing? She was all over their Instagram and has disappeared.

Finally had the get baked cake today, picked it up in Manchester yesterday and I honestly don’t think it’s worth the hype. Very artificial in flavour and the layers didn’t stay together when cut

A lot of the comments are saying that Get Baked didn’t invent chocolate cake which is true, but he put it out there! He made the Bruce cake real! His marketing is also unique!
I was surprised to see that it was from an actual bakery rather than just with the Tesco name on it. It’s still mass produced.

Is there a Chocolatesmiths thread on here? They're taking the piss now. From Friday I think it is, they'll be sticking unlimited chocolate on their website. So if you want some of their overpriced shite, you'll get it. Only catch is you'll be waiting until March/April for it to be dispatched. And charged a £2 premium to cover the cost of their wrapping machine

I used to love them before lockdown…since joe wicks blew up their popularity Steph has turned into an entitled irritant. I would never buy from them again.
