I'm surprised she spent £100 on a Deuter Hiking backpack when previously she has sent begging emails to Osprey and Eagle Creek and received free expensive high quality backpacks!

Why tf would you think Pakistan, a country that is a champion of anti-human rights, would be a good idea?

I wonder if they were offered refunds or it was simply, its moved date, didnt you have to purchase flights separately as well, but i guess if you are willing to spend that on a tour, your crazy anyway with money to waste!

I wonder how many people actually booked it? I guess we'll never really know but i doubt it's many at all

I used to watch her a few years ago and had completely forgotten she existed until she started hanging out with Joel and Lia.

Weirdly, I always found her travel blogs extremely boring and much preferred to watch her to-camera videos about packing or getting a visa or whatever.

I gave up watching her around summer 2018 when she proclaimed that being a travel blogger was unsustainable and she was going to move back into her parents house and become a lifestyle blogger. By the looks of it, this isn’t something she actually took up and now she’s back into jetting across the world and doing handstands on beaches.

I always think that people in her position cut something of a tragic figure. She must be about 30 now and her life hasn’t really moved on since she was 18? Still going on holidays and swanning around the place on disposable income. No career progression, no significant investments like property, no long-term relationships or children to speak of. I always worry that people like this will look back at their lives once they hit middle-age and realise that they haven’t really achieved anything. I hope she doesn’t find herself in that place.

Now, I know you're either trolling or you've expressed yourself badly because I know that in 2021 you can't actually be calling a woman a tragedy and a failure because she hasn't got the holy trifecta of ring/baby/mortgage by that imperative biological deadline of the night before her 30th birthday.

If you ask most people what they want from life, it's "to be happy". For her life and career to be prancing around beaches on holiday, I think she'll have achieved "happy". Hell, if I could bear talking to a camera, I'd do it myself in a shot. It looks like an awesome life. She's clearly making a good amount of money out of it - she was talking about buying a not-insignificant sized house in the expensive commuter belt and now she's decided to buy a flat in central London. No zone 6 flatshare, buying her own place in zone 1 or 2, isn't it? And still having enough money left over to swan around the world for half a year every year!

But I do agree with you in a way. I'm haunted by something she said just before she moved to Mexico, that living in her parents' huge expensive house during a global pandemic "just wasn't challenging her" and I don't think spending her days snorkelling and eating tacos was challenging her either (to be fair, if I could opt out of the pandemic like that, I wouldn't challenge myself either, but those were her words). I'd love to see some personal development. I recently watched her Philippines series, when she was working her way towards her Divemaster qualification, where she had to do the rescue diver course and the first aid and the logged dives (and although the free diving qualification wasn't relevant to the Divemaster, it was another extension to her diving skills) and I liked that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but she hasn't mentioned it since, has she? I'd really like to see her finish that. And on the subject of her to-camera videos, I think it would be good if she sat and planned a proper series full of practical advice in an organised way rather than whenever something occurs to her. I think that would be very interesting and it would also be really good use of her extensive experience.

Where did she say this?! 😱😱

I did say "I know you can't actually be saying that" but the words "tragic figure", "no career progression, no significant investments like property, no long-term relationships or children to speak of" "realise that they haven’t really achieved anything" does quite heavily imply it.

Your reply I think sums up why I both like her and taken aback at the same time, I won't lie I binged watched her videos for escapism when I found her May 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed them. Tbf, I think she has done well to travel so much, have multiple businesses and have funds for a central London flat. That is a smart move because whilst she is away, she can Air BnB host her place and being central London, it is almost a guarantee that she'll get money back with that, more so, than buying a house in the home counties. However, there are times - perhaps with how she words things - that make her seem insensitive maybe? The whole thing about "moving" to Mexico (when it was just an extended holiday), travelling during a pandemic, not being challenged etc. The pandemic has really thrown her off her stride and I don't think she knows what to do and trying to do 'business as normal' makes her look as though she is sometimes selfish and uncaring.
