I feel like it will be some minimum wage type thing, she mentioned previously uber I think but she didn’t want to do hospitality.
Or it will be lots of 6 month contracts because the employers then have to pay tax on her etc! She can only stay a maximum of 3 years unless she finds a job to sponsor her or maybe she gets her bf to propose and then waits for the green card

Is she no longer interested in vlogging?

Kudos to her for weight loss, not following all the others down the Ozempic trail.
Has she ever shown her current bf. It'll be interesting to see how long she lasts in Australia.

She said she’ll no longer be travelling in Oz and just getting a job I think.

I don’t think she has shown her boyfriend, not sure how they met or how long they’ve been together, will be interesting to see how it all pans out

Yeah I think she has two kids her sister in Australia doesn't she. Christianne went there to look after the first whilst she was in hospital having the second one maybe last year

She's set herself up for a legal and tax nightmare. As has been alluded to elsewhere, she's almost certainly not moved onto a Buy-to-let mortgage. In turn this means that her house insurance isn't valid. This will mean that she's breaking Airbnb's terms of service. She's almost certainly also breaking a load of council rules. As and when her mortgage company clock on, they'll either charge much more interest or potentially refuse to remortgage.

She hasn't thought through the tax implications- all of the income will be taxable and will interact with her company information (she has an active one based on companies house). There's potentially an Australian tax implication for her too. Furthermore, because she's not living in the flat she'll be liable for capital gains tax on it when she eventually sells it.

I highly doubt any of this has been thought through.

Wow hadn't considered that, is it still rented on sir bnb now? I thought it was a long term rental.

I watched her latest video earlier, I found it weird, she acted as if moving to Australia from the UK at a (relatively) young age was such a crazy thing to do, especially atm with the uk economy, but its something lots.of people.do, not to mention as she has family there. I found it weird how lonely she seemed in her own flat, I think she's just not used to being in one place for an extended period/not surrounded by new people all the time

Yeah I’m sure there’s ways she could have met new people and made friends in London, meetups, more classes etc. The trouble with Christie seems to be that she only wants to make friends with boys and then is surprised when they want to be more than friends.
Also for someone who bangs on about how much she loves solo travel she doesn’t seem to be comfortable in her own company.

Yeh I agree, I'm an introvert so I can't relate I guess, but I remember when I first moved into my own place and I loved the independence, finding new things to do in a new area etc. I wonder how she'll find flat sharing!

She seemed surprised she couldn't make a new circle of friends in London, yet she was never there long enough.
She was always of on some trip and only home for a few weeks max at a time

Yeah didn't she say she was going to do 6 months there and 6 months traveling. She never did though did she? I'm assuming the new Australian working visa was announced after that so her plans went out the window once Australia was possible again

I love travel, but I don't think I could do what she does & as often. The novelty would wear off quite fast. Seems as though it would lose its appeal to some extent. I've wondered if she's not as happy as she makes out, using travel as an escape from a reality she's not content with. Maybe I'm totally wrong, who knows. OT been sucked into watching Van life, as it's fascinating imo, but something I could never do or have the desire to try. I like my comforts at home.

That video really surprised me, since her brand is solo traveller (and her short-lived clothing brand was Solo), how much she simply can't cope with being on her own. I'm well aware that even when she's travelling solo and not organising group trips, she still goes to hostels and attaches herself to other people or to short-term boyfriend, but I hadn't realised how bad she is at being alone. She even had to bring a different person along to Park Run every single week during the Summer Glow Up series rather than do it by herself.

Totally agree, I don't get why she didn't do a running club as she said, that would be a great way tk meet friends as (as far as I'm aware, I hate running!) They're usually at the weekend so going for a coffee or something after is pretty natural, not like a morning exercise class midweek

My husband is away at the moment so I have time on my hands lol and I rewatched some old videos. In one where she did a travel round up (end 2023 I think) she mentioned a trip to Madeira (no vlog was forthcoming despite being promised I believe) and that it was for a travel romance - a kiwi guy but they parted ways after as he was heading back to NZ - do we think this is her current boyfriend?
