My daughter has a very different, quirky name and I wish I could share it here.
I have a really long list of names saved on my phone so I will just share my favourites! I have been trying to conceive for a while now, hoping it happens for us soon.
I'm doing ok, 3 of my boys names are listed here I started running out of ideas by number 4 ( a boy too)
Girls names I liked.
Martha.
Megan.
Sadie.
Holly.
Evie.
Frankie.
My kids are
Evan Jameson
Sienna Ripley (yes, after Ellen Ripley )
Jude Evan
I’m not huge on Jude. I like it but I still don’t feel like it suits him.
Some names I liked: Oliver, Micah, Jonah, Arlo, Arthur, Tobias, Leo/Theo
Hazel, Ava(just so popular, Esme, Lila, Violet, Nora
We gave our children strong, traditional names as we don't like quirky or out there names. We also have a long surname that people are forever getting wrong so didn't want our children going through life constantly correcting their first and last name. One of our children has a very popular name, he's 10 now and despite being in 2 nurseries and 1 school has never had another 1 in his class and there is only 1 other one in his whole school.
Boys names I like:
Arthur
Lenny
Jack
Thomas
Girls names:
Florence
Charlie
Georgie
Lyla
Edie
Betsy
Same! We usually have names that have been in our family before. I love Lily Alice (great-nanny and grandmas name) and Thomas Alfred (brother/uncles are called Thomas and Alfred was my Grandads name).
My problem would be not choosing a name that an animal I’ve owned/know has.
Boys; my own two, which I won’t say here. I found boys names difficult as I didn’t like many, and girls names I liked changed like the weather lol. Once settled on our boys names though that was it. We had the names picked before they were here.
I have a seriously long list of childrens names, and have now decided I don't want kids!
I like quite unusual names so;
for girls etta is my favourite. I like Dorothy (dottie), clementine, olive and daisy (I genuinely have about 25 names on my list but that's a good mix of odd to normal haha)
for boys I like tommy, jasper, rex (until Stacey Solomon used it) and felix
Girls: Harriet, Sophie and Charlotte
Boys: Oliver, William
Names I don't like : Jacob, Mason, Harrison, fruits (apple/ peaches) anything that's a shortened version of a name (lottie, Ollie etc), double barrelled names (Ava-mai etc)
