I don't get it. If Jessica's cane skills aren't up to par, why don't they try to improve her skills? They live near a big city. Surely, there is an orientation and mobility specialist that could work with Jessica. Also that wheelchair does not look like it fits her very well.

I was just thinking that! When did they post their last video? I am sure that Val and Hannah are in their beds and hiding because they are so exhausted and Jess is running around looking for them! Actually, Jess probably made her own breakfast, fed the dogs, walked the dogs, took her own shower, folded all the laundry, vacuumed, sold her cards on ebay, authored a children’s book - complete with coloring pages-, wrote Disney to tell them how much she loved it, wrote a thesis on “Generational Effects of Mental Illness on a Family”, called Sonny Boy to see how the business is going, called her uncle to set up the next cooking show, had a huge salad, with lots of leafy green veggies, for lunch, worked out for about an hour.

I think allowing Jess to talk about the future: driving, independent living, new house, being an RN, etc.... gives Jessica hope for the future. If she doesn't have that, what does she have? not much. However, I think Val needs to have a real discussion now about these things.
Can some of you come up with ideas of how Val can discuss this without bursting Jessica's bubble through and through. We all need something to hold on to regarding our dreams.

We all have dreams no matter what our ages or IQ's but they are realistic! They give her false hope because she will never do any of those things!!! And she sounds so stupid repeating those things they tell her she can do to strangers!! They just make her look foolish! Look at all the sets of scrubs and nursing shoes they bought her! Hello...that money might have been better spent on some decent clothes and bras that fit her!!!
I myself will not give Val any ideas on how to fix things! She screwed her kids, all of them up, so she can get herself out of the lying mess she made! She is a horrible person!

Well the birthday chocolate pies looked like crap. Old pie crusts that burned, fudged on the ingredients because they didn't have all the right stuff (what else is new) and they ate it warm! Sorry chocolate pie is not eaten warm! But they all just loved it including Jessica shoveling it in even though in an earlier video she didn't want them to make it! And if you watch it notice out spaced out Jess was...but she was probably drugged to the max so she would not ruin the party! Plus they all but Jess sang happy birthday....that was a real tell that it was not about her so she would not participate!

Has anyone noticed on the picture of the missing brain that the lines where the brain is supposedly missing are perfectly straight? Val could have easily doctored the pic, A missing brain would have different edges, ettc>

Why not show the actual MRI report. That could of been taken her shunt was put it would be better after. I liked to see reports vs just Vals bull crap diagnosis. It just makes me say how these followers keep believing in this family. I can remember when she first started her page I thought her page was informative but right after they got money to build that deck from followers it all changed. Greed, begging and constantly lying.

They are so phony! They scream and talk over each other during the livestream so the minions won’t hear Jessica self talk about all the things she is coached before she starts, letting her be spontaneous without coaching would expose too many secrets and some not so nice truths would be told. Jessica’s self talk can be very informative. Family trip to Disney, brand new wheelchair, best resort, fine dining, all at the expense of the minions, most being disabled with a measly disability cheque I bet. Be Proud Val! I hope in rains cats and dogs every day.

I think we see so much more self talking on days they do greedy Thursdays. The reason for that is they drill her probably from the time she gets up til it starts. Then she gets back from her grandparents at 1 so they changed the time to start because they need more time to tell her what not to say. So many of the other great autistic bloggers want nothing to do with Val. You don't see her invited to do speaking engagement or to join the others like Adrian and Kate. Same with Priscilla from Fathering Autism she not liked by the other autism mom community. I think Val and Priscilla are both shunned and clearly I see why.

I agree with the fact that parents / caregivers have to be listened to....we do have to participate in our children's education and HELP THEM to cope, express themselves and to help them navigate the world...it's NOT up to us to blame and try changing the world to cope and comply with all our children's needs... That's not reality period.

Jessica is groomed and prompted as to how to act on cam...also they edit and jump cut every video removing all of Jessica's outbursts , inappropriate behaviour and language ..then acting like yes...Jessica is always pleasant....we KNOW that's a lie.

She's loud mouthy rude and abusive to the animals and anyone who crosses her, the poor cat isn't even allowed in the house because Jessica hates ALL animals including zoey...but Val lies to Jess saying Zoey is hers so Val can keep her.

Val has to keep Jessica at home, quit her job, have 3 adults living under the roof AND pay Marlow ( not a professional just a babysittter) to ALL help in the daily care of sweet pleasant Jessica..if she has no behavioural issues why does it take 4 adults to deal with her.

Jessica is a perfect example of what happens when professionals are not included as part of the team... No therapists no teachers...no one. Just crazy mom, her sons ex girlfriend and the hypochondriac sister Hannah.... As long as everyone does what control freak Vale says...all's good!

Everyone must lie to Jessica on a daily basis, keep up the story of Jess moving out with her girlfriend after she finishes nursing school and can independently cook her chicken nuggets.
No one is permitted to correct, redirect, discipline or teach Jessica anything ever...
Jessica is allowed to do, say whatever she wants or Val tells her to say...everything can be edited out for appearances later.
You must agree to take a shift deleting any and all messages on FB that calls out any of the Brooks family members.
You must never disagree with Val or Jessica or expose the lies Val spreads...
You must get/ change all your credit cards to the Disney rewards program and contribute to Vals Disney obsession and vacations.
You must tell Jessica a dozen times a day she has anxiety..
Learning to be a grifter on YouTube would be an asset.
Ample house keeping skills and dog walking are requirements
And finally... You must be able to take being screamed at by feral Jessica, schlaaaaaaped, groped and used as her slave/ maid.

Val..sees these terminally ill children getting their MUCH deserved " wishes" as in trips to Disney...and she wants that...so this is her self righteous, redneck, broken wheelchair version she tries to create..USING Jessica...coaching her reminding her she's " blind" " autistic" etc... Which is all for sympathy for Val.

Val...is a very mentally sick person...and Hannah is learning all her scheming manipulative ways...

I'm thinking Campbel bought the wheelchair...I'm sure it's just a foldable one only needed for Disney....but then again Val can afford to eat out at least once a day dropping $50+ a shot...so who knows.

Bottom line is TRULY diagnosed children who are born with life long mental and or physical illnesses QUALIFY for various things...such as proper schooling by professionals in that field, mobile devices, chairs, lifts, motorized scooters, real support animals, various therapies by REAL professionals , communication devices etc....etc...

No not everything is free, various states have different requirements...but the fact alone Val is talking on cam about teaching Jess to read brail....at 35!!! Shows that even during school Jess was never taught from real teachers...because she's not blind and required no assistance from the Blind Institute ...it's all Vals scheming to paint Jessica in a certain light.

As I've mentioned before the fact there are ZERO agencies, professionals, therapists , teachers or adult programs in Jess's life shows the reality ..not Vals make believe version.

There are a lot of youtubers.. " influencers" on social media ...sharing their !Ives with autism....the only one I see with no affiliation within their own autistic community is the scheming Brooks family, no therapist visits, no communication therapy , no adult classes, no autism outings with others in their community, no REAL professional caregivers, no respit, ...NO FRIENDS within their local autism community...nothing. The only time we see any real medical intervention was during covid when the nurse came to do testing on Jess's brain...because of her shunt bothering her.
Again...not autism.

I used to be a follower of this family. Having read Val's blog, I had assumed that Jess was a product of a system that failed her -- teaching autistic folx in the 1990s probably was not the same experience as I, another autistic person, experienced 15 years later, and so on. But something has never made sense to me in why Jess never learnt to read using Braille. Like even if she is autistic and blind, learning to read has to be really high on that list of childhood developments. It ultimately was the frequent Disney visits that turnt me off
I'm lucky that I don't need any autism-related therapies as an adult now, but Jess really could benefit from some sort of therapy that helps cope with some of the obsessive, odd traits. The poor girl is a victim of bad parenting as we all know, if any of what we're seeing is real, then why not try to help Jessica? Talking about dead dogs and slapping and making out isn't healthy, Val. Get her some therapy and stop filming this gross shit.

Being divorced gives Val..as a single parent and " full time" care provider many more financial benefits and tax breaks. Being married to Campbell his finances and assets are included into Vals.

I could only watch the first few min today. As soon as greedy guts started grabbing and obsessing I was out. Wtf is wrong with people they don’t recognize greed! When Val gave the look at the beginning Jess seemed to get the message for a few min, proof Val knows she’s being obnoxious, rude and that could lead to unlikeable which may reduce their no work income.

Can actually feel the stress through the screen. Vals pretend smiles. looking directly at the camera,shes smiling but her eyes arent. Hannah being very loud. Jessica is very over medicated this time. Dont think Disney is stress free for them this time. Having to be places for rides at certain times,very early mornings,listening to Jessica go on and on and on.constantly wanting food. All sharing one room. That's not a happy relaxing vacation. I think things are starting to finally crumble in vals pretend joyful life and she is extremely snappy a lot of the time. I agree with the stress levels. It’s hard to pretend you are having a good time, all the time. Hannah is driving me crazy, she is starting to repeat whatever Val says, just like Jess. Listen to their comments and she does it quite frequently. Val is training her to be another Jessica, to be like a parrot. And her voice, so screechy. Jessica must be promised chicken nuggets everyday. It’s the only thing she is thinking about throughout this whole trip, what is next on the fried food express. The amount of money spent on this trip could be a down payment on a new house. But Val doesn’t see it that way. I guess she can’t get the “good ones” to pay for a house as easily as a trip to Disney. Think about it, if they spend a minimum of $5000 on each trip to Disney, and you know the spend more than that, at 5 trips a year, that’s at least $25000. Hmmm, trips to Disney where you see and do and eat the same thing every time, and record it all so you can watch it over and over, or a new permanent house. Not a big decision in my book. A home is security from living on the street, Disney is a fake, make believe place made for children to enjoy once or twice in their childhood. Grow up, Val. Maybe you should apply for a job there, maybe you could be a character, I know, either Goofy or Dopey. The shine would be gone from the park then, Val. People work down there, they don’t get to lay around and whine.

There is no progress with Jessica, I've been watching for about 2 years or so and I see regression. I don't understand all the followers that say she has really improved. Really, not knowing where the fridge is, she only goes to it 4 times a day. I see someone so overmedicated, she can't function, Obsession with food and jealousy of dogs.

I think her ‘not knowing’ where the fridge was, was a ploy to get out of heating the pizza up herself! She knows exactly where the fridge is, she’s just so used to everything being done for her. Jess should be making her breakfast every morning, not just a one-off for video fodder. If she’d been taught consistently for years, as Val says, she would be more able than she is now. It’s interesting that it hasn’t taken years for her to learn how to use her phone - just shows she’s capable of learning when she wants to. I don’t understand these people who say what amazing progress she’s made, the direct opposite is the truth. As a mum of two young adults with autism and other special needs, I know how difficult it can be for them to learn life skills BUT it is possible with consistency and patience. It makes me laugh when Val harps on about people making assumptions because they don’t understand autism - actually, it’s because we understand autism that we see through the BS!

I read where Jess sees very little if anything from the right eye. Take note on today's video....Val makes sure the ornaments are given to her via the right side. Shame on you, Val. The camera was not turned incorrectly. You can tell by the writing of the games.

Today in the car..her incessant babbling obsessing over the same script she's been rambling on for YEARS...shows there is absolutely no care..no redirection, no help given to Jessica at all in helping her to cope with her constant obsessing ...it's severe it's crippling ...Val claims .. " Jessica is seeking reassurance " ...no..no she isnt...how is repeating over and over and over 100000times a day on the phone, to strangers in the store, on cam, to herself all day every day for YEARS the ling exact same lines... " did you buy your Bessie a poochie? " " we had to put Abbie down" " Zoey don't neeeeeeeed it! " how is any of that giving reassurance ?? To ANYTHING?? It's incessant obsessive babble....and all it does is show that Jessica is offered no help, no direction there's no correction or teaching her how to control her over obsessions, she has no coping skills what so ever...between her poor diet, lack of exercise,her cholesterol and her crazed obsessions she can't control ...she will have a stroke before she's 40. Jessica is already grey, hunched over like she's 70, and looks old enough to be Vals Mom.
