Just putting these here... I was trying to bring a friend up to speed on the whole Mia Plecic saga and searched her name on Facebook expecting posts from Tea Time to come up BUT instead these appeared and wow... why am I not surprised?!

Happy to move on. Not happy with the continued accusation that we are mummy bloggers because we don’t like an account that steals from marginalised creatives. If the best thing people can say about her is she doesn’t pimp out her kids let’s all give ourselves a medal for not doing that too and move on to discuss those that do.

Also “while I’m feeling sassy”, to quote your best mate, it’s cute that you think someone who’s entire platform is based off being a mum does not expose her child on social media. Weird I know about her kid’s sleep, toilet training, routine, bday etc then but I guess over sharing to strangers is ok as long as you don’t promote cloth nappies. Before you say it, I unfollowed ages ago. I think we all do have a responsibility with who we support with follows etc.

Has anyone read Glennon Doyle’s book untamed? There are SO many similarities between that book and the way Sophie cachia speaks about being gay. I feel like she’s massively ripping off glennon and have a feeling her book will be another shitty rip off! Even SCs description of first realising she was attracted to women is very similar to Glennons. I’m shocked nobody has pulled her up on it!

If anyone’s wanting to make a purge of the accounts they follow who may be secretly anti vax I highly suggest going on all the accounts that Aussie Influencer Opinions have screenshotted in their stories like the freedom fighters accounts and going through the “followed by these people you follow” section. I’ve cleared out a good 10 people so far!

So from how I read it SC was approached to give some time in a mentoring or similar capacity to encourage young women in sport or other fields.
She said no because it undervalues her as a female businesswoman lol at that description!
Many people from all areas especially sports give up an enormous amount of time for various causes, but her time is too valuable to donate.
It will be interesting to see (hopefully we’ll be able to ) who has signed up for this campaign that the self important almighty SC refused . She’s just so unlikeable

I love Clem too!! Don’t agree with everything she says however she’s become more “moderate” in recent years as she’s gotten older. She really puts her money where her mouth is with all her causes and her books are really powerful and brilliant.
I used to be a big fan of ZFB back in the day but I think she is just soooo smug and trying super hard to be relatable when she’s not relatable at all to the everyday woman who follows her any more. She deserves the success but the way she writes is insufferable. I do agree RE: her and Hamish and their charity contributions, both are publicly involved with a lot of causes but don’t self promote about it too much. Kudos to them for that.

Totally agree with everything you said. I think Clementine is terrific. She is super smart, articulate, funny and kind (to people who deserve her kindness). Also seems to genuinely reflect on her “mistakes” and has modified her approach vas a result. She used to be coarser, angrier and less nuanced - I used to find her very irritating. The hate and abuse she must cop would be too much for me.

Zoe on the other hand… I feel bad about myself every time I look at her.

Absolutely. I’m here for a mother’s group getting together on a Thursday night to do a few lines. But not in the middle of lockdown. That doesn’t make you a “cool mum”, that makes you an asshole.
