I went off Maria at Gentle Whispering. I really love ASMR Angel. Charlotte is her real name. Great sense of humour and really puts in the hardwork without going overboard. I hate tapping. Too many artists tap everything. Also, without intentionally causing ASMR, I also follow Yanghaiyang. Such a lovely lady.

I've followed her for a few years too! I used to love her videos but I've slowly gone off them. I remember her slowly buying all of this new equipment, and then she went on that big break, and ever since she came back she only seems to use her phone, I wonder what happened... it's almost like she's lost interest, especially when she has (or had, dunno if she got rid of it all) equipment like a decent camera and mic. She tags her vids as lo-fi which I like but a few times I've watched her vids recently her audio is stronger in one ear. and slightly off-topic but her other channel makes me cringe a bit, mostly her Iceland hauls and the stuff she's bought from charity shops and is now selling on ebay.

Something has definitely changed, I do feel sorry for her, because for a woman in her 40s she's very childish at times. She claimed she receives lots of hate and comments about her appearance, but in all the years following her I've never seen anything like that, even though she claims its very public. I do think she's very unhappy, even Nathan no longer seems as involved. It must be difficult Laura, Nathan and her mum living together. Her ASMR is really good, I don't follow the other vlogging channel, I find that all too random.

I agree with previous posters re MinxLaura. Love a lot of her content, but find her super cringe at times. Her anxiety issues are certainly distressing, but that woman needs to get off her ass and live a little before she finds life has completely passed her by. I had to stop watching her lives because I got so sick of hearing about her wanting to travel but being too scared of planes. And her strange vegetarianism. And her bisexuality (because she kissed a girl...once). And how weird she says she is. I think she definitely has some form of arrested development - she acts like a 15 year old. Despite all that, she has some of the best lofi tapping in the game. Her makeup videos never fail to make me tingle. I think she comes across as cringe because she doesn't try to pretend to be anything but herself, which is super refreshing. I love her but she irritates me if that makes sense lol

I totally agree Minx Laura has some of the best lofi asmr, she knows her stuff and is talented. I get the feeling a lot of her 'isdues' are because her parents and previously grandparents have always infantalized her not allowing/encouraging her to grow up. I do actually feel sorry for her. Her parents divorced and she has stated behind to look after mum, fortunately for her Nathan doesn't mind the whole set up.

Speaking of Shanny I have followed her for a few years and really like her channel but lately I've been having a hard time because it feels like she is fetishizing some underaged anime characters like Nezuko from Demon Slayer. I've seen a few other ASMRtists doing this too and it weird. A lot of them feel like there are sexual overtones and these characters are teenage girls. Has anyone else noticed this?

Alfredo Uno (Ecuadorian ladies who do massages on themselves and others, I really like it, sometimes they can be a bit loud but they are a certain kind of ASMR I like)

There’s one I recently discovered called Miss Vintage Tingles, the vids seem a bit odd and there’s nothing relaxing about them imo, they’re quite abrasive if that’s the right word? Could just be me though!

Someone commented on a recent role play video asking if she could do a role play with her normal accent and her reply was so abrupt, saying she doesn’t have an accent

I hope so but with her now posting multiple times about feeling hatred for her cats I wouldn't be surprised if she wants to expedite putting the cat down.

same, if this was someone else I would maybe give the benefit of the doubt but not with her. Also using the word "dire" and then not explaining to mejust sounds like he is a minor inconvenience (i.e. being incontinent etc) but if he is eating normally and seems happy how "dire" can it be?

Theres a good discussion about blitzzz on the asmr reddit under her Phoebe Bridgers interview. everyone was really respectful and thoughtful about how they discussed their issues with her channel and I guess blitzzz looks herself up... bc she saw it and took to instagram of course!

I've only watched one Karuna video. I don't know how she gets so many views/subscribers. She was in a hotel room pretending a bunch of covers was a person. She was hovering her hands over the pretend person and making inaudible sounds. It really came across as a half hearted attempt at something because she couldn't have looked more bored. Looked like she wished she was elsewhere.

She didn't either bother shaping the bed covers to at least make it look like a person

Was that the video that was inspired by KAYsmr? I really liked the original.

Also a bit disappointed to see Scottish Murmurs and Creative Calm have gone down the hyper sexual route. Gets views I guess.

They've been doing that for quite some while now; Lucy (CC) in particular was infamous for making clickbait cleavage thumbnails that showed more than what the video actually did.
