Reads as Tal-a to me. Stupid way to spell it. She needs to add a h or r if she doesn’t want people mispronouncing it for the rest of her life.
she can’t give her daughter a stupid name and then get pissy that no one knows how to pronounce it

Whilst we’re on the topic of stupid names though, I feel for Nat’s little boy being named Onyx.
My niece has a rabbit named Onyx and I was like “weird name” then to see an actual baby be named that…

Don’t even get me started on this stupid ass name I don’t understand where we went wrong in the world and where all these crazy ass names came from. I love chontel Duncan but swayde?? Justyce?? Havana?? Stop the world please

Yes, Tahla would pretty much eliminate any confusion...and I think it looks nicer spelt that way, too. She's going to get all sorts of variations growing up. Tal-ah, tul-uh, Tay-lah. Funny that she's bent on repeating that it sounds exactly how it's spelt when she can't spell or pronounce simple words correctly. I don't expect her to know better, but the 'j' in Taj sounds like a 'zh', so no....not all names are pronounced how they look, otherwise Sonja would be Son-jar and and we'd all be totally bleeping up the pronunciation of Irish, Scottish, Welsh and many other names. I know a Welsh girl named Eilidh, pronounced Ay-Lee. Jesus, I would never have figured that out on my own.

Also know an Eilidh and her mum just laughs now cause she gets Hayley all the time even after telling people how to say it

I got the pronunciation, but I understand why people are not sure, especially when it's someone like Ashy who has no idea. I mean she's now replying telling people what the various meanings of the name are in other cultures, that were told to her by other people in earlier comments, acting as if she's known these meanings all along. I started working at a school a few years ago, and the wacky way some people pronounce their kids names is mind blowing.

I don’t think it’s so crazy to pronounce it Taylah. It’s the long a sound. Lots of words inEnglish have that long a sound. Here a few. Besides Taylah is a well known name, makes sense people would automatically read it that way.

It seems to me like her latest story pic is her first genuine smile in months. I get the feeling that she actually hates pregnancy. If that’s the case though I wish she was honest because I was one of those women that hated every single moment of it. I adore my children but it doesn’t change the fact that I didn’t adore what it did to me mentally, physically and emotionally to get them here. I wish people were more transparent with the struggles and not just not sleeping and needing to wee. Rather than pretending that they are glowing and love it.

Ashy is being so nasty to followers, for just asking simple pronunciation questions!
I think she might be getting defensive also because Tammy H is only getting “congratulations” messages for Posy….whereas a lot of Ashy’s are questioning pronounciation (which, with any oddly spelled name SHOULD be expected!). Shouldn’t she be grateful for the engagement? And people/followers taking an active interest? She’s awful….

For what it’s worth I think that Tammy’s baby will often be spelling her name as well, I think many will think posie or posey. But at least her pronunciation is clear.
