I sometimes notice it when people say Ash "isn't interested" in Saf, but then I think these tiny video clips are literally seconds out of a 24 hr day so its ridiculous to assume anything. Like yesterday people moaned that he doesn't hug Saf, then when he does hug her at the finish line they say it wasn't a good enough hug 😂 I thought the hug was lovely, it was really intense and emotional! Just because he didn't wrap his arms around her doesnt mean it didnt wasn't a beautiful moment between them.
Exactly!

Who’s the sponsor? What does the sponsor cover?
I don’t know, someone else mentioned there was a sponsor, the terms wouldn’t necessarily be publicly available and they don’t need to be but usually a company will give a certain amount in return for an agreed set it benefits (social media mention, logo somewhere etc) and the sponsorship money is just spent however the event/activity needs…so for these guys if they have a sponsor it could cover anything from bikes, equipment, insurance, safety team, accommodation - anything like that.

I do feel for Saff she seems like the most innocent harmless girl. It’s heartbreaking to watch. I do think Ashley comes across as disinterested and I wish sometimes he would just grab her and hug. But like others have said we don’t know if this goes on behind closed doors.

I am by no means comparing my situation to theirs in any way. I hope never to have to go through what they have. Ive had several miscarriages - 10 in total. And my husband and I have both dealt with them completely differently. We have 4 children and are beyond grateful but each loss has been difficult nonetheless. My husband isn’t a talker. He shuts off and shuts down. He goes into protection mode and looks after me in other ways. He is tactile and will always pull me in and hug me etc but after one of my early miscarriages he said to me don’t talk to me I can’t deal with it if you need to talk I’m sorry you’ll have to find someone else. It was hurtful but that’s just the way he deals with things. However to anyone looking in they probably thought how amazing he was because he was cooking and cleaning and really looking after me.

I guess what I’m trying to say is everyone deals with grief and loss differently and we only see a snapshot of their life. Regardless of what I think of Ashley I do hope behind closed doors they’re able to support and comfort each other.
So sorry for your losses ❤

Honestly it was very sad when she died but some of the people you would’ve thought it was their own child or family member. It was just too too much. Really uncomfortable

Why are people just trolls?! You can tell when she’s talking how broken she is. People are dicks
I screenshotted the exact same thing 🤢

This seems like a great way to raise money. I dunno, criticise them all you want for how they behave but this is something lots of charities do to raise awareness and fits with the fitness vibes. I lost a child in pretty traumatic circumstances and wasn't diagnosed with PTSD until a few years after. Not looking for an argument just maybe give them some slack. They don't have to behave in any way to appease anyone, grief is a fucking trip and people do all sorts of strange things.
So sorry for your loss ❤

So weird, the more attention they bring to the grave the more they might find weirdos turning up to mourn a baby they only knew through social media. I think that’s why less is more, it’ll be very obvious to anyone which is her grave. I’d be really uncomfortable with that personally.

It’s this video that gets me, yes people change but they don’t do a 180
Wow just wow! Hope he sold some of his shot to help towards the go fund me. Disgusting! And just how is that all funded I’m pretty sure I know how 😉🧐

I may be well off target here but I wondered if she is actually pregnant, that would explain why his family don’t want her to do the bike ride? on the photo of her with her brother at the football her bag was held over her tummy. I just think it would explain her comment of things going on in the background, maybe theres a more positive reason?
I thought this too. X

Looks like the blonde girl who’s cycling with them has had a nasty fall off her bike. Cuts and scrapes all over her arms 😭

They follow behind Ashley like sheep 🐑
What I mean was is there are 5 people, Ashley, Matty (who seem to be riding everything) then the cousin and the support riders who I think are a couple.

However, there’s not usually 5 riding it seems to be four. So do the support riders do just 50% each as it’s not actually their ride and they are there to help with fixing the bikes, punctures etc. Just curious how it’s working

Also, if someone isn’t riding the whole way then why the big deal about Saf being allowed to do the last leg (if she wanted of course)

I don’t think Saf is invisible. She’s a grieving mum and she’s absolutely burnt out and exhausted. She said in a live that Ashley and the team have told her to rest and relax and told her she doesn’t need to be at the pit stops, she’s doing plenty of other bits for the charity.

Thank you.. I didn't have counselling. It wasnt really offered and the waiting list with the GP was over 18 months long. They were quick to prescribe anti-depressants though which I didn't take. I've been on them before and I didn't like how they made me feel so I refused. I had to go back to work straight away as the job centre was on my ass so I did and cried in the toilets when I heard someone call their daughter, which was the same name I called my daughter! It was brutal for a bit to be honest, but it got easier and I got better. I just avoid my triggers which is babies & talking about pregnancy & babies! lol
This is so awful, just not good enough. There are some amazing charities out there who offer counselling. I know you will say its fine was so long ago, but our pain and trauma doesnt go away just gets pushed deep down inside like a huge blockage. Counselling helped me loads even decades later from my own trauma x

Just a thought with my wild imagination at times but I know they bang on about wanting to help sick children and families but do you think they would do this quietly in case people start creating Gofund me’s for these families and then no donating to the foundation ? Or do you think they will donate when they can get a film crew there to give them the publicity? They definitely need to start giving it out I don’t care how much more they are raising i just want to see poorly children given a chance
Good point, you wouldn’t see a charity asking people to donate to another charity. They will want to raise funds for the foundation so they can give it out to people or projects. Hopefully more of that will come once the bike ride is over

Ashley, please get your own chants!!

"Lets go champ" Belongs to Shannon Briggs - we'll let you have that one.
BUT
LIONS, LIONS, LIONS - Belongs to Anthony Yarde - Another boxer who you must think your little meerkats have never heard of.... but I see you Ashley.

He's gonna keep saying this now and it's gonna piss me right off.
