1. I do think she's a little bit too cutesy Irish Americana for me to be into her stuff, and she grated me when I did follow her, as the clothes are so ridiculously Pollyanna, BUT having said that, most of us will have had relationship problems at some point, no matter the circumstances, it is very easy to fall into the realm of "my partner will mind me", particularly when this could have been agreed to, and then to find that you are pregnant and alone, except for living with your parents again! It is heartbreaking, I mean I am going to make an assumption that at least 90% of us are women, being pregnant and alone is never fun, particularly when going through such an upheaval as a break up and by the sounds of it quite close to when you discovered you were pregnant. I really empathise with her, a break up from a long term promising relationship is always world altering, but to be then pregnant and alone is just awful. I'm not loving her, but my god do I feel for her.
2. Is there a possibility that she is not broken up, is going to the Rotunda because your man will be back for giving birth and they will be based in Dublin? Limerick maternity is much closer to Clonmel.

I feel so bad for her. I don't understand her complete lack of ambition in life, but the power imbalance of having a partner be able to walk away with everything when he controls the purse strings would really freak me out. Gary was ok with footing the bill until he wasn't ok. Imagine being lulled into that false sense of security? I feel like Aoife was always expected to be the one who would stay at home with the kids. I could be wrong in that, but weird for him to suddenly have such a massive problem with it all, you know? There is definitely more to that. I also don't think Aoife would have been able to hold down a steady job when she was jetting off to be in NYC with him or on holiday. At the end of the day she's now the one who is going to be left to do the majority of the heavy lifting when it comes to raising that child. Isn't it well for him that he gets to walk away as such, pay a bit of maintenance and her life is left in tatters after spending years planning a life with him.
Unfortunately, (re doing all the heavy lifting etc) I think this is a risk that all women take when they get pregnant. Regardless of them being married or not. Back in the day if you had a child there was more societal pressure to stay together. However, it is now 2021 and men are walk away very easily despite her wasting her prime years with him, if you’ll excuse the expression. It was up to her to ensure she wasn’t totally dependent on him prior to having children.
The only allowance I will give is I expect men like him expect women to be at their beck and call whenever they are available, but then also at the same time have a successful career? That just doesn’t happen you can’t have it both ways.

It is completely shite for her or anyone else in a similar situation to have your whole world turned upside down by a relationship breakdown, but she is an adult woman, who is capable of making her own choices and decisions. And she very much put her future in someone else’s hands. I still don’t think it’s right that he’s some how painted as a head who left her high and dry. She is known by plenty for being a selfish, egotistical weapon so I have no doubt at all that she wasn’t an easy going, easy to please partner.
I feel very bad for her as There isn’t a hope that she could have held done a full time job as I would imagine she was on call the whole time to travel over when he was free or travel with him as likely some of those holidays were tacked on to his work trips and a lot of mandatory socialising with clients. Knowing the line of work probably the only time she could see him. I’ve done the travelling to see my husband while working in a previous job and while it’s exciting at first it gets tiring and invariably work suffers . They seemed to be together a good time so I do hope for the baby’s sake they work it out if they can .
Let's not run away with ourselves here... Gary is a solicitor. Not a president or an ambassador! Aoife did not need to sacrifice her own career to accompany him like a dutiful girlfriend/first lady. There are millions of solicitors across the globe whose wives have careers! She chose not to have a career. She modeled for the lottery in the local tabloids and did a few campaigns for newbridge and Ryanair. She then became a 'blogger' and 'content creator' and I use the terms lightly as she had a very modest following. There was never any ambition, she met a rich man who paid for her holidays and designer gear and she hedged her bets that it would continue.

So i just want to clear something up, she was in the Rotunda yesterday. Aka hospital located in Dublin city centre, wearing light will dress and wedges. Did anyone else in Dublin City Centre experience the same weather!? Cause i was certainly not in wedges or a dress yesterday!
It was sunny in my part of Dublin but not a light dress like that type of warm.
