I think she knew I'd grassed her up at least once. On one of the occasions, I flagged it to our manager as a health and safety concern because she wasn't answering her phone, hadn't told us she was leaving and we didn't know where she was so something may have happened to her. Our manager told her that I had expressed concern for her safety. She hated me though so she probably knew I hadn't done it for that reason.Do you know if she ever asked how they knew she was leaving early? My TL keeps saying we don’t when proof that he is leaving early even though there has been 2 occasions now where I have worked with him and he has left either before me or at the same time. I think they are worried he might turn around and say he is being checked up on.

I think my manager cares more about having a full team than if they’re decent people or not. The signs were there when then took on lazy. He quit his last job before he was pushed out. When I came back from my sick leave, he told me he took 3 months of sick. I wondered if this was while they were trying to get rid of them. Where I am now, they hammered my previous employers for a reference, yet he didn’t have to provide one.
I feel a snake as I am “grassing” on him, but I don’t actually mind him as a person some of the time. He said to me it was really poor that I hadn’t been offered a phased return to work or offered adjustments. I didn’t even have a return to work with my manager.
Everyone says there are lazy people like this everywhere you work, but is there, really? Would other places tolerate it?

I can relate to all above my TL was on annual leave the week before last and was then on a day off yesterday! 2 work colleagues (known for being lazy) were both of sick simultaneously usually the person covering the TL gets an email saying “ so and so is off sick” & to basically reschedule their work neither times has this happened so I suspect they’ve not been notified which is protocol if off sick (they both had a day off sick each) but then miraculously made a full recovery the next day just in time for when the boss was back crafty sods as they will get paid for being off but sickness (which is monitored) won’t be recorded because basically the administrator who they are both pally with does the donkey work and rearranges all their stuff 
obviously I can’t prove anything as it may be legit I suspect not though but I wish I had evidence as I would love to drop em in it 
also they get away with so much tit and the one is bosses favourite so can do nowt wrong in her eyes

I started a new job in November last year after my job was at risk and I’m really struggling with it. We all hot desk and in the whole time I’ve been there I’ve never sat with my team only the odd one person occasionally. Two of the team only come into the office for 4 hours once a week and are joined at the hip so never sat with them so learning has been a challenge to say the least. I feel oddly lonely in this role having had a set desk in my last job and it’s also incredibly boring so I don’t feel I’m using my skills at all.
My manager asked if I wanted to move to a new team as they’re short but my current team is also short so it’s robbing Peter to pay Paul really and that role is even worse! I declined which I don’t think she was overly happy about by if I’d have gone it makes my last 7 months in the role an absolute waster of time. I’m trying to get out but had an interview and they were super suspicious about why I was trying to leave so soon so may have to sit this bull out for another 6 months so it doesn’t look so bad.

Quoting myself. I’m godsmacked. I found out that Lazy coworker did actually say the our line manager that he doesn’t subscribe to start times. How has he still got a job!!Nah. I don’t think it’s that. My TL is worried that he could become really nasty, but if you hear his stories he tells, he’s definitely got napoleon syndrome (he’s about 5’4”). He’s always telling stories about how he’s kicking off at people and we all look at each other like, that never happened. There’s definitely a few arms and legs attached to his stories.
On Tuesday, our line manager was in our office and he passed the junction of where Lazy co worker would come off and drive to work and he said it only took him 13 minutes to get here. It was 8.57am and he was asking where lazy was (a bit annoyed). When lazy arrived, the line manager took him into a room and had a word with him. As Lazy was coming out of the room with the LM, I heard him say he would take another route to work.
It was just me and lazy for the last hour yesterday in the office and he was ranting about the line manager saying how he doesn’t actually know what he does etc etcthe manager has told him he needs to be in five minutes before 9am or he will go to HR. Lazy said to him, what will HR do? And apparently the LM couldn’t think of an answer. He asked if they were going to start paying him for an 8.55 start
he never arrives that early, but the LM was in our office all this week, so make of that what you will!

Happened to me today on my lunch hour - 3 missed calls on Teams between 12.30 and 1.30 and no message to say why.
I called back after lunch and it was about something really trivial.
Offer to show her how to manage her time better.
It's a him. He's two time zones away. I guess he forgets that!

We had a team “away day” today and one of the staff suggested (at the very last minute) that it would be nice to have (yet another) collection for my boss to get her something to say thanks for organising the day 
baring in mind we had to travel to said destination and buy are own food etc once there (which we can’t claim back), and she is paid to do these events once a year absolute jokers! Yeah sure Jan we will have a collection for someone that earns double what we bloody do! Flaming ridiculous there was also a card to say “thanks” erm thanks for what exactly for doing her flaming job?! needless to say I didn’t contribute unlike the brown noses that are up her a

collections at our place now involve someone in the team giving their bank details and if you want to contribute you can do so by bank transfer, or, if you have cash, give it to them (but ideally they want the transfer). However when the collections come round I never have cash on me, and I feel miserly (but secretly wanting to be miserly) that I give £5 online when usually cash wise I'd chuck in 2 quid. All the ATMs near me are dodgy (have had incidents of skimming) and town feels too far to go just to get cash out. Therefore the problem I have is I don't really do cash anymore (and I'm not pleased about it).At least before I could dash a quid or two in the brown envelope and jiggle the bag a bit to make it sound like more
In my old job we’d all been in the team 10 plus years so I never minded giving a tenner for a birthday or significant occasion but my new job is a soulless place and in the 7 months I’ve been here I’ve never even sat with my team. It’s hot desking at its most ridiculous so sod em, I’ll sign the card but not donate.
They are never ending in my work. Someone is having a baby, Someone is leaving, someone is retiring. Thankfully we don't do birthdays, we have over 500 people at my work so I would be bankrupt.
I sit with my team but I am done with throwing in for collections. I'll sign the card but they don't get me a present or a card and I'm paid £10k less than them so duck it.
