Wow so she had a falling out with Jeanne! That’s some tea for sure. I wonder if it affected perceptions of her within the Filipino influencer circle. My partner is Filipino and says communities are tight knit and there’s like 2 degrees of seperation.

I don’t think Alyssa is that problematic overall (she’s only problematic towards her own credit card) but her basically being a mooching friend is yikes.

Just watched it now. Standard beige content, her gushing over the hotel interior, food and walking montages etc. I almost fell asleep. When she said she was drained after filming 5 IGTVs

Also that fluffy Toteme knit she’s wearing all the time + in the vlog isn’t the peak of fashion she thinks it is.
She wore it with leggings and those knee high boots. It was borderline cheugy/Chase Amie (if you know you know). IMO, if the knit was a high low cut it would literally be an outfit from my 2011 wardrobe

I think she did one for Caraway oven tray set, it randomly came up on my TikTok feed and it was very obviously her kitchen. Dunno why they’d want a spokesperson who hasn’t spent any of their own money on their product

Having followed this thread for months, finally decided to create an account and post my 2cents. I used to enjoy Alyssa content, especially as I sort of found her from the financial diet you tube. It’s a great entertaining channel btw related to money management, public opinion, commentary on society, etc.
I thought she was a realistic reasonable person. Clearly not after the last year extravaganza of binging and purging. Which is exactly like bulimic btw but with shopping. Having seen her house and what she prioritises her money on, it’s just ridiculous. She could of upsized/ renovated four times over with the “In store” Hermes purchased. Let’s not forget all the other things she’s buys. All this buying yet none of it makes her happy, hence the constant re-selling of stuff.
She is not the only influencer who does this, one by one nearly every person I’ve followed goes into this vicious cycle of acquiring shit and they then try to flog it off. Champagne taste with a beer budget as my Dad used to say. Very interested to see what her wedding will be like, and if all those “peloton” classes were worth the effort!

It’s important to acknowledge Alyssa grew up in a conservative Filipino household. It was probably instilled from both family and church that you find a suitable man in your early 20s, get married and have kids. Which is why she has mentioned her parents were not at first supportive of her moving in with Marco before marriage. Pre-marital sex and what not lol.

But also, why are people mentioning Cassie being a video vixen? I’m out of the loop it seems.

I was about to say the same thing. One of my coworkers is Filipino and she’s SUPER conservative .

As we know, there are a lot of designer resellers out there.

I think that Redeluxe's business model is more consignment than personal shopping, although Georgia (owner of Redeluxe) says that she is a 'personal shopper' than being in a consignment arrangement. Which is kinda sus, because Georgia only gets a bag when it is out of season, or when someone sells them to her.

I looked at the store, and this bags are waaayyyyyyyy too overpriced for what it is. Also, exposure from Je Suis Lou and Alyssa helped, them promoting the brand, and they can dictate to Georgia how much they wanna sell it for. That alone can drive prices to the amount you can see below.

So seeing how these girls work, this creates a ripple effect- some girls will buy the bag and resell them for a fat profit.

Is Chanel even worth someone's money this 2022? I'd rather buy Saint Laurent and Chloe bags, thank you.

(Also, I'm interested on starting a thread on Je Suis Lou. Her spending this year is bonkers, plus how did she manage to get 2 Birkins + a Kelly, Cartier jewelry, VCAs in a span of the year is crazy.)

I have a feeling it’s going to be an oversized linen sundress with a Hermes belt (as per tradition). Or a couture Dior-esque structured gown that she can’t pull off.

Plus those Manolos, I can tell she’s just going to look super gaudy and stuffy.

I have a feeling she wanted some couture designers like Reem Acra, Naeem Khan, Monique Lhullier, or those found at Kleinfeld (Im a big fan of say yes to the dress).
But she can't afford it. I know Galia Lahav does free dresses for influencers.

I'm thinking something like this is what she will wear, minus the belt. Belts on wedding dresses are so 80s.
