Looks like we may be going to Ireland (from our home in the USA) for a conference in 2025 (I know, it's a long time from now, but that's how we plan travel)! We will of course extend our trip to Northern Ireland, and I'd hate to base my choices solely on LA's check-ins, but I have a few things on my list of places to try if the chance arises, so I thought you wise Tattlers could weigh in with thoughts on:
Balloo House
Bothy White Bay
The Salthouse Hotel

Or any other restaurants/hotels/destinations in NI we might want to consider. Thanks in advance!

You would be very welcome! I’m no expert on the North Coast so will leave that to others. On Balloo House I personally think it’s overrated. It’s got character and is very cosy in winter but I find the food to be average. That’s just my personal take!

There's nothing special about the bothy either. The Salthouse is gorgeous though

Yes to The Salthouse and Bushmills inn. Food and accommodation great in both. If in Belfast, I love the Titanic Hotel to stay in. Also visit Hillsborough as there are a few fabulous eateries there but i would avoid Balloo house.

Yes she does get so freebies does so some paid ads but she’s transparent and spends her own hard earned cash as a teacher too

She also does proper grid posts and stories comparing product etc

not like Laura Ad who shoehorns in a little 5 sec sneaky mention when on the quest for her next cash cow

What time of year are you planning to travel?

If you're in Ballycastle at Salthouse you HAVE to visit Ursa Minor bakery. It is the best. Salthouse probably the best place to use as a base for the north coast.

In Belfast the Merchant, or Titanic. Eat - how fancy do you like to go?

We like a range of restaurants and will definitely do some higher end given the chance! And hotel we will do v nice not posh/luxury. LOL

Good advice, I couldn’t find one at the time but will look around next time!

I guess it also depends on where you are flying into and what direction you are planning on going

I haven’t been to Killarney in over 30 years but all along the coast Galway Clifden Westport is beautiful and if your self driving could probably do a self catering base to explore

the other side Is beautiful too Cork Waterford Wexford Wicklow so many amazing places to see and beautiful food

I just can’t imagine a scenario when I would obligingly spend that much money on a random dress. Even if I won the lottery, I wouldn’t justify it. I could spend it on bags/shoes/jewellery, something to last, a classic but not just a dress. I don’t know if she thinks it’s aspirational but I don’t know any wealthy people that actually spend like that, it’s just profligate
