I've never seen Alison mention any animal charities on her social media.
Paul's IG page was always full of dogs, you could see how much he cared about them. But Alison has only done 2 grid posts to promote FTLOD and nothing else since... no behind the scenes footage or selfies with the dogs.
She clearly has no passion for animals, it's just a job to her.
She did an interview a few weeks back saying she was planning to foster some dogs, let's see if she keeps her word.

I was up at 5.30 yesterday so caught the repeat on ITV. It was BAD. She has no natural warmth or affinity with the dogs at all.
True enough but there were so many other candidates who are dog lovers who could have filled this rôle with ease and yet they took AH on who always looks like she's going to do a runner whenever a dog comes close to her! Completely WRONG!!
She should be ashamed of herself taking on a job she is clearly unsuitable for. Doesn't she earn enough money with her other numerous tv appearances. So as well as being useless and a liability with the dogs, she's proven herself to be greedy as well.
Those who offered her the job are as bad. She is a ridiculous and wildly unsuitable choice, dealing with vulnerable sentient beings.
I would welcome ANY other candidate that has a genuine love for animals, especially in this case, dogs. Can't wait for her to go.
Exactly. Tom Hardy? Alan Carr or Julian Clary would have been a better choice.

He definitely would. I remember a clip of TM that was posted on here where he was the one enraptured with a dog, and holding it in his arms, while Alison was nowhere near it. I think she had been announced as the host at that stage.
No matter who took over, it was never going to be the same. But my goodness, the one quality that should have been a given, was someone who loves dogs. FGS!

My brother was sat with me for the wedding segment and was rolling his eyes saying wtf is going on (he's a musician).

You can see Dermot genuinely adores Buddy... the dog charity have posted this earlier, but they haven't posted any pics of Alison with him. She has no interest in that dog at all.
Gok would’ve been perfect on FTLOD
I noticed on Friday that Buddy was kept out of the studio and only brought in for the vet Q&A, and he was on a lead kept at a distance from the presenters. Dermot asked how Buddy was but Alison completely ignored him. I found it weird because they usually bring him out during the show and he interacts with the guests. The difference today with Ben and Cat, Buddy was back in the studio cuddled up on the sofa with them and other guests throughout the show. How strange. Alison clearly doesn't like working with him
