Alice has not recovered. Alice’s disorder has evolved from one manifestation (Clean Eating Alice) to another (addicted to treatments and tweakments Alice). It’s two sides of the same coin.

I also find it slightly baffling that she feels like she has to flee the country to handle the idea of Daddy Paddy’s stag do. Is that a normal place to be starting a marriage from?

I’ve been trying to keep my distance from socials lately, I relapsed with my ED last month. Feel like absolute shit and just not appreciating Alice’s magical recovery tour

Please remember that most of what she shows on Instagram is fake. Anyone who spends the vast majority of their time constantly trying to “fix” their physical appearance with botox, fillers, skin treatments, hair extensions, gaudy designer clothes and jewellery, plus thousands of pounds worth of high-end makeup, then still uses filters, editing and weird angles to avoid showing their real body and face shape all while preaching body confidence and being happy in their own skin, has not had a magical recovery.

She’s riding a massive high at the moment because of the wedding. Once everything settles down, the validation from all the “you look amazing hun” comments wears off and the realisation sets in that marriage doesn’t actually really change anything, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s suddenly radio silence followed by a “really struggling to show up on here” post.

Wishing you all the best with your recovery. Do what you need to do to protect your own mental health and as difficult as it may be, please don’t let the phoneys on Insta get to you

Let’s overlook the massive weight loss she’s been quietly doing.

I’d have a lot more respect for her if she owned it. When I got married in 2009 I started working with a PT on the autumn of 2008. Yes I wanted to get stronger but I wanted to lose weight for my wedding. I was carrying more weight as I’d been eating man sized portions for months and drinking red wine! I did it, I’m not ashamed of it. She’s so disingenuous it’s nauseating.

She always looks so tragically overdone. As if she wore that get-up to go and play crazy golf have a day off. The eating Malteasers in the car is objectively hilarious, it's the forced serious expression and her absolutely IGNORING the camera she's set up in front of herself. Everything about her is so staged, performative, even when she's showing a 'vulnerable' or 'relaxed' moment it's forced and fake.

Her thought process behind getting Botox in armpits was fascinating.
This is how deeply insecure people problem solve. Don’t want to sweat on my wedding day, so will block sweat ducts that are essential in excreting toxins from the body and regulating temperature.
Got a reaction to a deodorant. Have tried a few others. Still was to block sweat ducts.
The whole “this is why I’m doing it and I’m not saying you have to do it” is so unnecessary. Nobody was asking her about her armpits.

There’s something quite sad and majorly insecure about feeling the need to make that level of effort for a fun fancy dress night amongst a handful of (in theory) your closest friends. Half the joy of those things comes from doing charity shop/ party shop/ Amazon raids and coming up with “so bad they’re good” outfits. It’s not supposed to be perfect, it’s supposed to be funny.

I really pity that she can’t seem to laugh at herself and really struggles to let go.

I get married within a few weeks of her from what she’s said previously and I didn’t know we had to prep our EYEBROWS too. Like I bought a dress, booked the church and venue and the rest will figure itself out. EYEBROW PREP?!?!?
