Thank you for the tea @GingerSquid. The most surprising thing to me is that she took acting courses. Maybe you have to do that if you're on TV? I don't think she'd be where she is today if she hadn't lost all that weight. She is naturally beautiful, but her thinness is probably, sadly, the real reason she was a fashion darling. She also has the benefit of a petite frame, so she somehow doesn't look bony or sickly (of course, who knows what her health is like). I have a friend who used to run into her occasionally when she lived in New York, and she said each time she was shocked at how tiny Alexa is in real life.

I bought a few a pieces of her clothing too and was also dismayed at the quality for the price. As well as the fact that everything ran SO SMALL. Like a 26 inch waist on a UK size 8 dress. Alexa was surely designing for herself.

Wow this thread just caught my eye so just reading this now - I didn’t know she was in this video. So ironic how she was much healthier when she was a model before she started presenting. Would be fascinated to see what she eats in a day.

Yep she seems nice her, used to enjoy reading interviews and articles about her in Company magazine back in 2007 or so. Seemed to be a perfect natural replacement for Kate Moss as the Cool Britannia fashion queen. Great style, intelligent, no plastic boobs, arse or duckface. Admitted to feeling uncomfortable at her early gigs like the raunchy Holly Valance video she was in and didn’t do anything of this sort again.

I found this video a little cringy to watch (usually these "What's in my bag" videos are). I feel like Alexa has done a few of them over the years and is just rinsing and repeating to try to remain relevant. Also, her hair dangling on the sides of her face bugged me the whole time!

She's on a very restricted diet to be sure, but you can't know if a person is anorexic simply by looking at them (except in extreme cases of starvation). She never looked as gaunt and sickly like, say, Leandra Medine Cohen. I don't know how she's maintained her thinness for so long, but whatever she does must be a habit by now.

On an unrelated note, I really dislike her new hair color.

It wasnt. I remember - now that I think about it, I actually ordered a pair of white ankle boots from TheOutNet from her brand and they were awful - so cheap and poor quality I sent them straight back. The photos of them made them look deceptively good but there was a reason they were on TheOutNet.

I think Alexa hit her sweet spot in the mid-aughts, but now her style choices are... questionable. Despite that, I will forever be an Alexa stan, even though I love/hate her for being so beautiful, clever, and cool. Wish she'd stop parting her hair down the middle though.

That clip she posted of Bella Freud’s Fashion Neurosus podcast was the most self-indulgent garbage I’ve ever heard. I can’t even explain how irritated I was listening to that. People need to realize that nobody else enjoys hearing about your dreams.

Agreed. This video makes me realize she definitely uses filters on all her IG photos and reels... She is looking more her age here (which is fine, by the way, but she is nearly 40). British Vogue's cameras don't lie!

She's obviously extremely fortunate in her head region lol. Fullness combined with great bone structure. She also has a naturally petite figure (very narrow shoulders, small waist and wrists etc), unlike someone much taller and broader, who would probably look gaunt very quickly. I'm troubled by her muscle mass, which is pretty non-existent now and will only get worse as she gets older.

I don't get it. WHO is this frumpy shite being marketed to? Is it for people who find themselves too beautiful to survive and WANT to be unattractive? Those jeans will not look good on anyone shorter than 5'10" weighing more than 49kg. What is going on with these brands?? Why is everything so baggy and unflattering and hideous on the high street? And if it's not that, then it's just hooker wear. Who is wearing this stuff?
