I was surprised she posted this. Is this natural or edited?!

Well, there's definitely a beauty filter on. Both of them look beauty filtered and smoothed out. Sometimes, it's just a case of taking a brightly lit photo (over-exposed) that isn't HD and almost anyone looks good with that kind of photographic quality.

BTW, This is "FiltersGoneWild". I Left Tattle when I was really busy dealing with life and thought I'd quit discussing A.S for good but I'm back. I couldn't reclaim my old username so had to register from scratch again. Thought I'd lost interest in discussing the dishonesty of Alex Steinherr but today, I went on TikTok and even though I don't follow her on TikTok, her TikTok LIVE session popped up and I watched her speak for quite a while and I was triggered again when she suddenly lost her temper and launched into an impassioned rant about how she was "so sick" of all the "stupid questions" because people kept asking her:
> Do you use botox?
> Do you have fillers?
> How old are you?

It felt really awkward and uncomfortable when she looked triggered, like she'd lost her patience and I don't know why but it felt really unpleasant when she snapped, "I'm so sick of answering all these stupid questions!!!!" BUT then at the end of her LIVE, she thanked everyone for this "wonderful community" and how grateful she was for everyone joining the live. I was like 😲 Are you f**king kidding me?

The vast majority of questions and comments were so positive and people were praising her skin and only two or three people kept asking about botox, fillers and her age. It really surprised me when she got tetchy and snapped. It really wasn't warranted in my opinion. I just thought, is this all it takes to offend and trigger you?! Nobody made snide, insulting comments. It was literally just "Are you sure you don't use botox? Your forehead looks so smooth." I did not comment at all. I was just observing what she had to say about skincare.

TikTok users were praising her so heavily for how remarkably perfect her skin is even though she was blatantly using a smoothing filter BUT as usual, she suggested that NO beauty filters were in use. Look at the evidence below. THAT face is BLURRED and over-lit as usual.

Thanks for checking in on me. Sorry I went AWOL. I thought I could be a better person and stop complaining about Alex Steinherr but ... No. 🙄

Hope everyone has been okay.

I just need to share these stills from her most recent Sunday Facial videos. The face-shape distortion and excessive digital face-slimming is just out of control.

I don't think she sees how WEIRD her face looks in the Sunday Facial videos. This just HAS to be body dysmorphia at play. I cannot imagine going nuts with FaceApp or FaceTune with any of my selfies like this. I'd be SO embarrassed to post such heavily edited selfies. I'd be thinking of all the people who know me personally and how they'd see right through it. Alex is a highly educated woman and yet, she is foolish enough to think nobody will notice how much she'd edited her face.

Did anyone see AS promoting Hershesons new hair dryer last month? These are such a far departure from how she looks on her own IG.

Not surprising she posted NONE of those unfiltered/un-edited Hershesons promo videos on her own IG because it shows her as she truly looks in real life. This is how she looked to me when I saw her on Westbourne Grove. Her skin is truly beautiful and in wonderful condition at 47 but as a 47, she is naturally losing volume and elasticity in her face. Her IG pics are all edited to make her look 15-20 years younger than she actually is.

These other Hershesons stills were very blurred but her face shape was not changed.

She needs help, this isnt normal, the way the rest of her community would have already called this tit out if it was an influencer but she gets a pass?!?! She must truly shock people who see her in real life

Hope she gets the therapy she needs

I found it SO cringe that this is the second time she’s started an IG reel with this “A Star Is Born” theatrical pose. She always looks so smug and pleased with herself in these vanity reels and for what? 6 likes on TikTok?

She’s posing in this annoying way where the tip of her tongue sits between her front teeth like a dead clam. I think it’s part of how she sucks her cheeks in

During Alex’s TikTok Live last night, once again, she ignored any questions about her age and angrily expressed that she finds the question offensive.
I agree with her that its not fair men are rarely asked their age but personally, I have no problem whatsoever telling people my age. I turned 46 a week ago and I am not ashamed to be a middle aged woman. I find it odd and a little annoying that she is determined nobody knows her age. It is so in line with her other inauthentic practices.
Caroline Hirons, Samantha Chapman & Sali Hughes happily share their age.

I'm a little older than Alex & I'm cagey about my age. I don't think it's anyone's business.
Alex looks so much better in the unfiltered shots. She looks like an alien in the distorted ones.

What is so uncomfortable about these images is that they aren't just enhancing her appearance, which is common with the wide use of filters, but completely changing her features and face shape. That she then reacts so angrily when people rightly ask questions, is bizarre. It's not just that it's deceitful; witnessing the unconscious display of her extreme denial and dishonesty with herself about her appearance is 🤯

I think she indirectly invites curiosity about her age BECAUSE during her lives,
She needs help, this isnt normal, the way the rest of her community would have already called this tit out if it was an influencer but she gets a pass?!?! She must truly shock people who see her in real life

Hope she gets the therapy she needs
I am rather astonished by how widely Alex's abuse of beauty filters and face editing apps goes under the radar. I am also wondering why she gets a free pass because many other influencers would be called out left, right and centre for this sort of practice.

It seems Alex just can't bear to present her appearance as it is. I get it. The pressure to look young is immense but neither I nor any of my friends would go to such extreme lengths of dishonest practice to pretend on social media to make ourselves look 20-something.

I don't think Alex will ever talk about perimenopause in any capacity and how it's affecting her hair or skin like many other content creators her age are right now. Alex can't stomach the idea of anybody knowing her age, period. It's all suggestive of a very insecure personality.

I’m 37 and getting older scares me 🫣
I miss my 37 year old face. :giggle: My face was holding up quite nicely until last year. Last year at 44-going on-45 is when I started to notice laxity in my skin and my eyelids are beginning to sag a little although, if I get a really good night's sleep, it's not so bad. I'm still comfortable with my physical appearance right now. Let's see what I say at 50! :sneaky:

I refuse to be ashamed of how long I've lived. I'm only scared of suffering with disease. I do dread the idea of my health declining too sooner than I'd hope to the degree I can't be self-sufficient. As long as I can bathe myself, walk with relative ease and not have to depend on anyone to take care of my basic needs, I don't mind ageing and I don't mind everyone knowing how old I am.

But ageing is a privilege. In my life, two of my classmates died before I'd left secondary school. I lost a friend during my early 20s. An old classmate died at 37 from cervical cancer so I'm thrilled to still be here at 46.

My mother would always tell people her age and add an extra year on to milk compliments.

I think Alex indirectly invites curiosity about her age during her LIVE chat sessions BECAUSE she declares quite repetitively that she has exceptionally good skin. "I'm lucky. I have REALLY good skin" "The reason why I have such good skin ....." etc etc

So I think it's quite natural for people to want to know how old she is to gauge just how impressed they should be by the condition of her complexion. Also, like I said, she is often mentioning in passing, "I'm not 22 anymore ..." or "I'm not 25 anymore ..." and it just stirs up curiosity.

Actually, during the TIKTOK Live last evening, it was weird when she said something in particular. People kept asking her about retinols and she suddenly became rather impassioned, expressing how she does not use retinols ONLY peptides. She said "You do NOT need to use retinols to have good skin!" and when someone said, "That's not what dermatologists say!" Alex appeared a bit defensive, took a big breath like she was about to launch into a rant and then she stopped herself and said, "Y'know what? I was about to say something not cool. Yeah, I want to say something that is not cool ..." but she just took a moment and calmed herself and just went with, "Listen .... I'm just going to say it ... I have REALLY GOOD SKIN." and then she explained that her skin is remarkably good and she's living proof that perhaps "actives" like retinol and AHA acids are not the answer.

Anyway, just felt like sharing that tidbit. Maybe she's right. She absolutely does have very good skin. She said she's never had acne in her life which I envy because I had terrible acne in my 20s.

I so wish she had just said the "not cool" statement she was on the brink of blurting out but she stopped herself. I am wondering if she was going to say something a bit catty like "I have better skin than all the other skincare influencers and I'm the ONLY one that doesn't promote acids and retinols". I just got the feeling that she was leading up to saying something like that but she stopped herself and admitted what she was almost about to blurt out would not have been "cool".

She hates how she really looks and wants to control/manipulate the images of her that come out, that's pretty much it.

Now she’s not only beauty-filtering her face, she’s filtering Lisa Eldridge’s face too.
It really looks like she applied the “Hollywood” filter from FaceApp to both of their faces.

CBCD9DBB-6CC2-4A49-9F51-84DB4B00B78F.jpeg

I checked Lisa Eldridge’s IG to see if perhaps she had taken this photo & done the filtering but can’t see this image on her instagram at all.

Lisa Eldridge doesn’t go insane with beauty filters. She seems to use very bright lighting to flatter her face as many online makeup artists and beauty influencers do which I find reasonably acceptable but I don’t think she changes her natural face shape like Alex does to extremes.

On TikTok recently, Alex declared that she believes “there are NO miracle products”

The first pic is a still from a 2018 YouTube video when Alex was 43 and the second pic, she posted today, aged 47.

We’re meant to not notice that she looks significantly younger in her IG posts 4 years later?
According to Alex, she has claimed:
▪ There are no miracle products
▪ She does NOT use retinoids or acids and uses Vitamin C occasionally
▪ She has never done fillers
▪ She rarely does Botox
▪ She eats a high sugar diet and can’t stay away from “treats”
▪ Does not use filters or edit her face.

Things that make you go hmmmm… 🤷🏼‍♀️
