Ahh the old ‘lock your knees out so your legs look slim’ trick. Genius. Trick two is the extreme leg cross whilst on your toes. So clever. Blah blah blah be comfortable in your own skin, you’re not a before picture, FFS.

How can she say that there is no evidence that being morbidly obese is linked with poor health? I’m not advocating body shaming people, but it’s undeniable that being significantly overweight will have a detrimental effect on health. I don’t know how anyone can take her seriously. I can only think she appeals to very overweight people who are in denial and want to believe that they are healthy.

Actually that isn’t strictly true. I don’t believe research has been able to show that carrying excess weight itself has a detrimental effect to health. Things like a poor diet, not exercising and unhealthy behaviour can cause poor health. You can be in a larger body and be engaging in healthy behaviours - that doesn’t make you unhealthy? Some people who would be considered obese may begin to eat healthy and do regular exercise - we shouldn’t assume they are unhealthy based on their size, you would need to look closer at their lifestyle etc

Visceral large, which morbidly obese people will have a higher percentage of, definitely contributes to earlier mortality

And an increased risk of developing other co-morbidities

Maybe that’s true of people who are classed as obese based on BMI (rugby players etc who carry a lot of muscle). I’m talking about people who are significantly overweight because they eat far too much. I also think it’s important to differentiate between people who are a few pounds overweight and those who are very overweight. The body positivity movement goes too far sometimes in my opinion.

It is definitely true. Overweight people have extra large around their organs. Leading to risk of cardiovascular issues, diabetes, etc etc.

Anyone see her post today ‘my boyfriend’s text as motivational quotes’ - these paint her in such a bad light. Him asking her which personality he’s gonna get today… asking her to be rational… paints her as an absolute nightmare.

I do think it paints him in a bad light personally, he seems quite emotionally abusive from those texts

I don’t see that at all from those texts.
God, if I showed you what my husband texts me you’d think we didn’t love eachother. How can you tell that from a message with no context?

I think you might have misunderstood me / I worded myself badly. I think she comes across badly. Makes herself sound like she’s an emotional hole to deal with.

I understood you! It's like a parent child relationship where he is constantly placating her but I also think she massively plays up to the ditzy blonde persona and a lot of her gaffs/ typos/ silly me moments are deliberately done!

Hmmm I just think they’re having a bit of fun. If people saw my texts from my husband they’d think I was awful 🙈 I found them funny!
