I used to follow her but unfollowed last year after it all got a bit repetitive....
Have actually been looking at her page the last couple of day and my GOD, the GRIFT. Help me find a air fryer. Help me find this. Help me find that. She even put 'I know Google will have the answers but its too overwhelming...' i.e. I won't have a chance of getting it for free. Absolutely shameless
And now a million and one questions on the stupid podcast.
Agree on the wedding stuff, I'm just looking back and its complete overkill, cannot imagine how bad it was at the time!
Overall I like Alex but sadly see her turning into just another privileged influencer.

How do we feel about her latest add? I don't want to comment on the post itself because I won't articulate my thoughts well enough and I don't want my comment to end up in her stories with a "I'm sorry the world has hurt you". But it doesn't sit well with me for some reason. For a good week now, she's been talking about how all diet/weight loss/exercice apps are being advertised on social media now because they want to take advantage of people being uncomfortable in their bodies post festive period; there was that whole debate about that Charlotte's girl workout programme,... and what does she post... an ad for a workout mirror thing (that costs an arm and a leg) that is so great but that she doesn't even follow on Instagram.
Now I know that the angle she's taking is that it's not to lose weight but just to move her body but I don't know, I can't help but think that she is preying on her followers' insecurities? There's not one person bigger than a size 8 on their socials... She hasn't really posted anything about her doing any kind of workouts before... I think the timing is so off. What do we all think.

Totally agree with you. That ad is exactly what she stands against - flogging a fitness fad when people are at their most vulnerable. You can dress it up however you like, but that's what it is.

Also, she's spent almost 10 stories defending her right to post her old skinny photos (which I personally don't find problematic at all) but not defended the mirror post once. Obviously not allowed to address any negativity when it's an Ad

I’m not even sure why she is in this field, she can’t seem to handle anyone even slightly questioning her!? She clearly has huge anxiety issues, so perhaps opening yourself up all day everyday isn’t the way forward!? I think the ad about the mirror was really really badly timed. It’s a shame if it’s just because she is getting paid now so morals aren’t out the window. It’s all very me me me, it used to feel like she wanted to help people but it seems more just to be her constant reaction to stuff and much more of just her inner monologue being put on Insta.

I’ve responded to quite a few of her stories and she’s only ever bothered to reply when it’s been a story about something she’s selling. Anything I’d written to her about diet culture/ED/just generally reaching out when she’s asked for peoples input/experiences, I’ve been left on read.
And she seems so unaware of her privilege. She said recently that she gets meal delivery services because she finds cooking too stressful - she’s in SUCH a place of privilege to be able to do that, but she never acknowledges it.
I agree with previous posters, I think her heart is in the right place and she probably started off with good intentions, but she can’t handle criticism and she’s becoming a bit of a sell out. The exercise mirror will 100% fuel peoples eating disorders, and she will be well aware of that.

Yeah totally, it’s like she constantly wants so much from people but doesn’t seem to want to give back in the same way. Offering codes for meal plans and fitness mirrors is the way! I think she must justify selling these things in her head but I don’t really get it.

I was looking forward to her podcast with Em Clarkson but it’s mainly just them guffawing at each other or having a group therapy session. I totally zoned out when they were chatting to the ‘life coach’ today, got to the end and realised I hadn’t taken in a single word.

She is also so quick to say she ‘doesn’t have time’ for things like writing letters or thank you notes… but she has time to post dozens of wedding photos or trawl through the archives of her old work pics. I am 100% not pulling a Molly Mae but in this instance you definitely choose how you spend your time - is it Instagram or is it writing thank you notes to the guests at an event you have mined for content for weeks…?

She's employed someone to help her manage her account but it doesn't appear to be helping her respond back to people like myself who have been with her from the start of her Instagram journey. I'm not going to lie, I'm no longer enjoying her content. All the emotive sales pitches that she does and whilst I find some of what Em Clarkson says interesting I find her frantic excitable spaniel style presentation annoying and why are so many of her posts with important messages posted attached to pics of her in underwear pouting at the camera ? I had to unfollow.

Yes to this and its sad that she's now fallen into the same lazy dialogue they all do.

This announcement at 7pm for maximum engagement is annoying tbh especially as she's probably going to spend all day posting how excited nervous scared anxious she is / please like me.

I'll give her this, she's mastered the art of being a sales woman - she's very very good at using emotive language in order to keep her engagement up and to get people to buy into her ads.

I'm guessing the announcement tonight is probably a collaboration with some clothes line / makeup. Can't imagine what else it could be going by her skill set.

I think if it’s a clothing collab, I will be disappointed as the price point will either be out of most people’s budget or could be one of the crappy ones that basically promote fast fashion.

I hope it isn’t clothing, to be honest I don’t know what it could be, maybe as I don’t care enough.

Could be lingerie ? And whilst I liked her really overpriced swimwear, I did eyeroll at her it will last you years sales pitch - as someone who swims regularly no costume has ever lasted me years sadly no matter how much I spend on it - I thought her lounge wear was unimaginative with insipid colours as well as expensive.
