No title suggestions I could see in the last thread. It moved really slow.
Alex closed down her London light business and
has had a baby boy
I don't think anything else interesting happened 🤣

So she's started a series because she doesn't know how to dress anymore. I'm no fashionista, but this is not the answer

I actually assumed she was doing this on purpose, as a method to obtain a gifted personal shopper. Day 1 was horrendous and then you think how can day 2 get any worse and she does it!

Such a reckless advertising of that natural contraception thing. Glad she's being called out in the comments.

Absolutely! Period trackers are amazing for understanding your body better, but if you’re actively trying not to get pregnant (and would want to end a pregnancy) then you need a barrier or hormonal contraceptive on the go. Natural cycles is fine if you don’t mind getting pregnant. Might as well throw in a mention for the withdrawal method while she’s at it.

I also get that she’s a straight woman, but the wording of her post is also super heteronormative where it doesn’t need to be.

Has anyone on here read her book? I picked it up in a charity shop. It is really poorly written. So many 'facts' about being overweight which are just so untrue.
I picked it up because I am desperate to improve my own body image. But when there is sentences like; 'there is no scientific evidence that being overweight harms your health' it makes me laugh. (Since giving birth I am now overweight)
One of the biggest risk factors for diabetes is an increased BMI. Although i do agree BMI is an outdated method. (it was based on a model using only white males)

I don’t know why but these constant fails making haha bread are irritating me
‘I did EVERYTHING TO THE RECIPE - apart from 75% of the recipe where I made it up as I went along

Literally just been thinking this - the whole thing feels cringe worthy and almost set up for 'jokes', that sort of learned helplessness attitude...'oh I'm so dizzy and useless' Mate you're 35plus, it's not a flex to be unable to make one single recipe correctly!

Like her constant heatless curls fails. She knew her hair was too thin.

I'm sorry if I sound unsympathetic here, but surely by your 30's, unless you've been on the pill forever or something, surely we all know that you're not going to be ovulating if you're not having periods?!

I've been there, done that with PCOS (not no periods at all but very long cycles) - just go private to an endocrinologist, it's not like she doesn't have the money 🙄🙄🙄

Alex’s absolute refusal to consider any good in the use of GLP1s is getting quite a lot of backlash on her Weight Watchers post. I get her point that they mean diet culture hasn’t gone anywhere but it’s an odd segway into attacking them.

I kinda get where she's coming from. About a year or so ago when ozempic etc started to be spoken about I thought it was amazing for people like myself with pcos and who struggle but now it's become so accessible I find nearly everyone is on it. Every single conversation is about how much they've lost , how good they look etc it's like ve been transported back into the early 00s
I have no interest in speaking to people about how many lbs they weigh or have lost or that they haven't eaten all day.
I enjoyed the bopo phase were these conversations pissed off and people weren't so obsessed with everything weight.
I've witnessed people just using it as another diet , like back in the day you'd be like oh I'm back in ww, now people are taking it losing weight , stopping for holidays or for a few weeks then going back on it to lose the weight they've put on. It defeats the purpose of it people are back yo yo dieting but it's just been made easier

So for Alex who had an eating disorder I can see why she is so against this, because every conversation seems to have gone back to weightloss again
