It does seem though that you can’t talk about any type of body size, shape, weight loss without getting absolutely battered by Alex and her cronies!! I have gone from 10 stone ED to 14st when in depression and bouncing between the two my whole adult life. I am on a GLP1 and it’s changed my life, not just weight wise but also just how I feel, how I think etc. I know it’s hard to hear stories of weight loss etc but also we can’t just have bopo one type of body and not all bodies. I feel like I’ve got a way to go with weight loss but wanting to lose weight for positive reasons isnt a bad thing and like with anything I dont want to see I scroll on.

So she's started a series because she doesn't know how to dress anymore. I'm no fashionista, but this is not the answer

Alex’s absolute refusal to consider any good in the use of GLP1s is getting quite a lot of backlash on her Weight Watchers post. I get her point that they mean diet culture hasn’t gone anywhere but it’s an odd segway into attacking them.
I kinda get where she's coming from. About a year or so ago when ozempic etc started to be spoken about I thought it was amazing for people like myself with pcos and who struggle but now it's become so accessible I find nearly everyone is on it. Every single conversation is about how much they've lost , how good they look etc it's like ve been transported back into the early 00s
I have no interest in speaking to people about how many lbs they weigh or have lost or that they haven't eaten all day.
I enjoyed the bopo phase were these conversations pissed off and people weren't so obsessed with everything weight.
I've witnessed people just using it as another diet , like back in the day you'd be like oh I'm back in ww, now people are taking it losing weight , stopping for holidays or for a few weeks then going back on it to lose the weight they've put on. It defeats the purpose of it people are back yo yo dieting but it's just been made easier

So for Alex who had an eating disorder I can see why she is so against this, because every conversation seems to have gone back to weightloss again

Has anyone on here read her book? I picked it up in a charity shop. It is really poorly written. So many 'facts' about being overweight which are just so untrue.
I picked it up because I am desperate to improve my own body image. But when there is sentences like; 'there is no scientific evidence that being overweight harms your health' it makes me laugh. (Since giving birth I am now overweight)
One of the biggest risk factors for diabetes is an increased BMI. Although i do agree BMI is an outdated method. (it was based on a model using only white males)

Absolutely and I agree GLP1s are life changing for people but I hate that everytime I'm in a social setting now it's like being back 10 15 years ago I lost x lbs this week I bought this size 10
It's all different friends groups and families I find it totally toxic to be back here.
My brother used mounjaro to quit smoking , he's been trying for 30 years and 1 week on mounjaro hes off them. Almost a year now. So I completely agree the GLP1s are fabulous but I hate the diet culture shite talk that's crept back in.

Alex could do with discussing the good side of them too without bashing

No title suggestions I could see in the last thread. It moved really slow.
Alex closed down her London light business and
has had a baby boy
I don't think anything else interesting happened 🤣

The thing that annoys me is the constant degrading of people taking weight loss meds, she says she’s not but she needs to tell her fingers and voice that. Not everyone taking them wants to be ‘skinny’, it’s life changing for some and would say most. Mind your business, Alex. It’s not for you, fine but quit making people feel shit for taking them.

I don’t know why but these constant fails making haha bread are irritating me
‘I did EVERYTHING TO THE RECIPE - apart from 75% of the recipe where I made it up as I went along

Literally just been thinking this - the whole thing feels cringe worthy and almost set up for 'jokes', that sort of learned helplessness attitude...'oh I'm so dizzy and useless' Mate you're 35plus, it's not a flex to be unable to make one single recipe correctly!

So the phrase ‘horribly fat’ is too disgusting to be said in front of her toddler but clearly ‘fucks sake’ is ok as it’s his new favourite phrase!
mum of the year right there 🤣

Why does she have to suck the fun out of everything? You might as well boycott Cinderella and her “ugly” sisters while you are at it.
Spewing her martyrdom whilst clearly using a beauty filter as her face is glitching left right and centre!

Most of the negative comments on women's bodies i see, about 95%, I see on Alex's feed when she reposts them to say how awful it is.

Why does she have to have an opinion on EVERY FUCKING THING!!!
This may be an unpopular opinion but sorry, I don’t want to see people who “look like me” or different body shapes at the Victoria Secret Fashion show! We have other shows for that, or create one! I want unobtainable levels of models and massive blow outs. Hot skinny models in sparkly bras I can dream about being (whilst sat in size 16 Bridget Jones knickers!!) Not every body needs to be everywhere. I am a huge advocate for body positivity but come on. It’s like the Olympics. The best of the best.
